Though CES is officially A Big Big Deal in the consumer electronics world, it's not generally known for making a huge splash among gamers.

Nevertheless, we like our gadgets and we suspect that you do, too. So in the interest of furthering the public good, we present Sony Electronics' annual CES keynote.

After the show, mosey on over to Sony's official CES site to get full details on new product announcements, videos, photos and more....

Sony Announces The Playroom: AR Studio is Out Tonight on PS4 100°
29w ago - Sony Producer Nicolas Doucet announced today that The Playroom: AR Studio is out tonight on PS4 with details below.

To quote: Over at Japan Studio, we've been hard at work on new DLC for The Playroom. We're proud to announce AR Studio will be launching later today on PS4 for the low, low price of free!

Using the PS4 Camera, The Playroom became a way for PS4 owners to broadcast live 'shows' through the Live From PlayStation app. This piece of DLC is entirely built around that central concept. With AR Studio, formerly known as Set Maker, you can use your tablet or smartphone (Android or iOS), to turn your living room into a broadcasting studio.

Fill your sets with images or photos stored on your smart device, or draw your sets from scratch. You can also add various special effects to the screen like interactive smoke and lasers using your DualShock 4 controller. You will need to download the PlayStation App for your smart device, which you can get for free on either the App Store or Google Play.

Since our first reveal at E3 In June, we made a few additions to make an even better experience:

• We added a ton of screen effects to make your...

Video: Robot Chicken Does PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Tonight

Video: Robot Chicken Does PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Tonight 100°
119w ago - Co-creator and executive producer Matthew Senreich has posted up a Robot Chicken PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale video tonight!

To quote: We are all gamers. It's that simple. A crossover appeared.

When PlayStation asked us at Robot Chicken to literally "play" with their all-star line-up of characters, we were not about to say no. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale gave us an opportunity in the writers' room to have the geek discussions we all love to have.

Who would destroy who in a fight to the death, or wherever they end up going after being defeated. To make this animated short, we got one of our Head Writers Douglas Goldstein and our super gamer writers Mike Fasolo and Rachel Bloom (check out her geek videos on YouTube) to create this fun off-hours scenario for all our favorite PlayStation characters.

Then we got our super geek director/writer Zeb Wells (who y'all may know from his comic book writing history) to dive in and direct. Magic in a bottle.

What is that "before" or "after" location like where all these characters hang out? What voices could we give to these iconic characters when turned on their side 90 degrees?

Part of what our Robot...
