Videos: The Awakened Fate Ultimatum: Who Will Live, Who Will Die?

Videos: The Awakened Fate Ultimatum: Who Will Live, Who Will Die? 50°
4h ago - NISA's Tiffany Chin posted up some PS3 videos today showcasing The Awakened Fate Ultimatum: Who Will Live, Who Will Die below!

To quote: Set in Celestia several years after The Guided Fate Paradox, The Awakened Fate Ultimatum follows the defeat of the powerful Satanael, and yet the war between the angels and devils wages on.

Shin Kamikaze, your average high school student, is stabbed in the heart by devils while walking home from school. Before he dies, Shin is saved by Jupiel, an angel from Celestia, who brings him to Ariael, a devil scientist, who shoves the Fate Awakening Crystal into his chest, thus making him God.

He is then thrust into this conflict, and must make "Ultimate Choices" involving angel, human and devil lives - determining who will live, and who will die.

As the player guides Shin in his journey of being god, each Ultimate Choice and decision made by Shin heavily affects the story. Shin's choices not only affect the characters he interacts with, but also the fates of those around him in Celestia.

Upon undertaking his role as god, Shin is tied to two girls, Jupiel and Ariael, who familiarize him with the war in Celestia and guide him through his journey to accepting...

Dark Souls II for PlayStation 3: Hands-on: Die Harder on PS3

Dark Souls II for PlayStation 3: Hands-on: Die Harder on PS3 50°
57w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman shared a hands-on PS3 preview for Dark Souls II on PlayStation 3 dubbed Die Harder below.

To quote: Fear not! Based on my initial hands-on experiences, Dark Souls II is proving to be even more fiendishly challenging than its famously difficult predecessor.

I learned this when the very first enemy in the game, a monstrous ogre-like creature sporting a pendulous gut, lifted me into the air and gnawed on my head like a Tootsie pop. I died kicking and screaming.

After reviving, I opted to steer clear of the brute until I'd found a better weapon. But misfortune struck moments later when I was overwhelmed by a swarm of tiny, mewling dog creatures. Pushing on, I faced a gauntlet of towering undead knights, each powerful enough to cleave me in two with a swing of a massive sword.

After dying repeatedly, I finally zig-zagged past them and through a nearby door. Big mistake: here, perched precariously on a narrow platform, I faced off with an armored, giant boss who swung a halberd with lethal accuracy. Yep, you better believe I died.

Though Dark Souls II wastes no time in throwing the player into the deep end of the pool, its core gameplay has also undergone many subtle tweaks that further contribute to its bruising difficulty level....

They Do Not Die 2 v0.8 PS3 Homebrew Game Update Arrives

They Do Not Die 2 v0.8 PS3 Homebrew Game Update Arrives 700°
142w ago - Following up on his previous release, this weekend PlayStation 3 developer ThatOtherDev has updated his homebrew game They Do Not Die 2 to version 0.8 for Windows, Wii and the PS3 console.

Download: They Do Not Die 2 v0.8 PS3 Homebrew Game PKG / They Do Not Die 2 v0.8 PS3 Homebrew Game PKG (Mirror) / They Do Not Die 2 v0.8 Wii Homebrew Game / They Do Not Die 2 v0.8 Windows Homebrew Game

Below are the changes from his blog, as follows: Here is a small update for They Do Not Die 2 along with its first Windows release.

I've added blood and corpses. On Wii and PS3 they quickly shrink until they disappear but on Windows they fade instead of shrink (which I think looks a lot better) and there can be more of them in the game world at a time which means that they disappear more slowly.

I've also made a handful of minor and most likely unnoticeable changes (mostly related to city generation).

148w ago - Sony Product Marketing Manager Chuck Lacson has made available a video today spotlighting the top ways to kill (or die) in Starhawk alongside a full PS3 Trophy List and tips below!

To quote: 5 more days till Starhawk drops in-stores!

As you can imagine we are pretty excited in the office that everyone will get to finally experience the GLORY that we call the POD KILL. "What's a POD KILL?" you ask? Well let me demonstrate..

The POD KILL, is one of many inventive ways to take out your enemy in Starhawk. Even if you have been playing shooters for years, you'll be surprised at how many new ways you can be take out your enemy (and get completed served as well). And the fun is when you find a new way to kill, you can name it!

Whether you call it THE HEADS UP, THE MANCAKE, or THE PROPERTY DAMAGE, you haven't lived until you have dropped a building on someone's head.

(We also like to call that getting "Dorothy'd") With that in mind, it's time to plan your path to PLATINUM with the full, official PSN Trophies list, and some tips to get them.

Video: Ride, Die, and Fly in Starhawk Vehicle PlayStation 3 Trailer 50°
152w ago - SCEA PR Manager Eric Levine has shared a new Ride, Die, and Fly Starhawk vehicle trailer for PlayStation 3 fans today!

To quote: With just over a month until our May 8th release, the time to fully experience the virtual glory that is Starhawk is rapidly approaching.

We figured what better way to raise the excitement level than to give you a first-hand look at some of the different vehicle options you'll have at your disposal when this innovative third-person shooter hits stores next month.

We've said from the very beginning that Starhawk will have a broad range of intense air, ground, and vehicular combat so I think our new Ride, Die, and Fly trailer will certainly drive that point home.

First up is the Sidewinder JetBike - basically a quick-strike hoverbike that's very fast, perfect for crazy jumps and a lot of fun to drive.

Next, the Razorback, which is similar to a buggy vehicle, a sturdy 4x4 that carries up to three players and comes with a mounted gun on the back, perfect for picking off Outcast scum in a hurry.

The Ox Heavy Tank is one of my favorites. The name basically says it all, right? It's a burly vehicle that's great for bombarding bases. It's...
