Video: Life is Strange Episode 1 Out Tomorrow on PS4 and PS3

Video: Life is Strange Episode 1 Out Tomorrow on PS4 and PS3 1050°
5w ago - Dontnod's Jmax announced today that Life is Strange Episode 1 is out tomorrow on PS4 and PS3 platforms with a fresh video trailer below.

To quote: So in our last post we said that Apotheon would be launching sometime in January. Turns out we were off by a few days. Apotheon will actually be launching on February 3rd, 2015.

But, we've got a really good excuse! The reason for the short delay is because Apotheon will also be featured as part of Playstation Plus, and will be free for the month of February to all Playstation Plus subscribers for PS4!

Check out our new launch trailer showing off a bit of our voice acting talent.

The first episode that you'll play is called Chrysalis, and it's basically an introduction to the world of Life is Strange. You'll see Max and Chloe reunite and you'll make important choices that will influence their destiny.

You will see some of the short-term consequences of those choices but bear in mind that there are also mid and long-term repercussions that will pan out over the course of the later episodes, in a butterfly effect manner.

New on PlayStation Store: Dying Light, Grim Fandango Remastered 700°
5w ago - Sony's Jawad Ashraf of the PlayStation Store Team is here with this weeks European PSN Game Store updates, which include Dying Light, Grim Fandango Remastered and Life is Strange!

Below are the details, to quote: First up this week, first-person action survival game Dying Light.

Roam a city devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help defeat the hordes of flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, beware the Infected as they grow in strength and even more lethal nocturnal predators leave their nests...

Elsewhere, one of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is back! Grim Fandango's epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control better than ever.

Also out this week, episodic adventure game Life is Strange, rhythmic-puzzler Magical Beat and new costumes for LittleBigPlanet 3 based on some rather elusive creatures.

And lastly, if, for whatever reason you have yet to pick up inFAMOUS Second Son, then I'm happy to say that it is your deal of the week, so go grab it now!

Video: Life is Strange: How to Rewind Time on PlayStation 4

Video: Life is Strange: How to Rewind Time on PlayStation 4 800°
6w ago - Life Is Strange Producer Luc Baghadoust shared a video today spotlighting Life is Strange on how to rewind time on PlayStation 4.

To quote: Hello from all of the DONTNOD development team. We're still hard at work at the studio but would like to share the second Life is Strange Dev Diary for you to see more of the game we've been creating here in Paris.

This second video from the three part series is called The Butterfly Effect, and it explains everything you need to know about Max's ability to rewind time - including how the concept originated and exactly how rewinding time in Life is Strange works.

If you want to ask us any questions about the game we're hosting a Reddit AMA on Tuesday, January 27th at 6:00am Pacific / 2:00pm UK time. Hope to see you there!

Thanks for all the support and kind comments so far. The first episode is being released in just 7 days and counting, the wait for Life is Strange is almost over and we can't wait to hear what you think.

Video: Murasaki Baby Hands-on: Strange New Worlds on PS Vita

Video: Murasaki Baby Hands-on: Strange New Worlds on PS Vita 50°
27w ago - Sony Social Media Senior Manager Sid Shuman shared a hands-on video today which explores the strange new worlds in Murasaki Baby on PS Vita.

To quote: Here's the thing about PS Vita exclusive Murasaki Baby: it's one of the strangest, most subversive games I've played.

It seems like studio Ovosonico designed it to deliberately get under the skin of established game conventions, and the result is something I've never quite seen before.

You don't directly control the titular Baby, for instance; instead, you lead her through a disturbing world solely using PS Vita's front touchscreen and rear touchpad (that's right: no buttons or analog sticks at all). As the game progresses, Baby learns from your interactions and gradually becomes a bit more independent.

The game's universe is the real star, starting with the lively sketch-like art direction of the environment and its characters. From the ominous landscapes - which look like Tim Burton fever dreams - to the grotesque character designs, Murasaki Baby is a study in how to make cute creepy.

Watch my playthrough of the game's first chapter to see why Murasaki Baby is worth keeping an eye out when it lands on PS Vita this September.
