Library of Congress Rejects Exemption, Rules JailBreaking PS3 Illegal 1000°
November 4, 2012 // 12:13 am - As of October 26, 2012 the Library of Congress has rejected a proposed exemption that would allow for the JailBreaking of video game consoles including the PlayStation 3, ruling that PS3 JailBreaking is to be considered illegal under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Federal Judge Rules BitTorrent Site IsoHunt Infringed Copyrights 650°
December 28, 2009 // 8:51 pm - U.S. District Court Judge Stephen Wilson has ruled that BitTorrent search engine IsoHunt, which is currently still operating, has infringed on copyrights by intentionally encouraging piracy.

To quote: "Evidence of defendants' intent to induce infringement is overwhelming and beyond reasonable dispute," wrote U.S. District Court Judge Stephen Wilson in the central district of California.

Spanish Court Rules Nintendo DS Flash Carts Add Functionality 100°

Sony rules out PS3 Price Cut for Christmas, PS3 is a Good Value 300°
October 13, 2008 // 4:27 am - The Financial Times is reporting that Kazuo Hirai "has ruled out cutting the price of the PlayStation 3 console before Christmas, insisting that the PS3 is better value than rivals half its price."

Stock PS3 HDD rules over Solid State Drives 400°
June 7, 2008 // 4:15 pm - GameSpot has conducted a benchmark test of the differences of various times when a Solid State Drive is used on the PS3.

From the results of their tests, the use of a SSD seems to be of little appeal, while the load times improved, installation times increased largely.

European Charts: GTA IV rules the continent! 50°
May 10, 2008 // 2:03 am - With GTA IV smashing entertainment records to hit six million sales in its first week, it's little surprise that the title has taken the top spot in all formats charts in Spain, Germany and Sweden.

According to Next-gen.Biz, the PS3 version took the No. 1 spot in Spain and Germany for the nine day period ended May 7th, whilst the Xbox 360 version ruled the roost in Sweden.
