Sony PlayStation Now Subscription Program: All The PS Now Details

Sony PlayStation Now Subscription Program: All The PS Now Details 200°
8w ago - Sony Director of Marketing Peter Jamshidi revealed all the details of their new PlayStation Now subscription program today as outlined below!

To quote: You've been able to rent games through PlayStation Now for several months now, but many of you have asked - what about a subscription?

I'm pleased to announce that starting January 13th, we'll launch a subscription service for PlayStation Now that will provide instant and unlimited access to a catalog of more than 100 PS3 games. And since you're using PlayStation Now, you can enjoy the freedom to quickly discover and play a wide range of full games without downloads, installs, or patches (not to mention trips to the store).

The subscription service will be available first on PS4 across North America, and will come to other PlayStation Now enabled devices in the future.

You'll be able to choose from two subscription plans: one month for $19.99, or a three-month package for $44.99 (about $15 per month). The subscription provides access to a large and diverse catalog of PS3 games, ranging from action to RPG and everything in-between. Check out our launch trailer for a sneak peek.

We know that there are many PS4 owners who never owned a PS3 or had a chance...

156w ago - For those who are not PlayStation Plus subscribers, today Associate Product Marketing Manager Brian Dunn has outlined how you can still obtain Journey early access alongside pre-order program details below.

To quote: If you have been following Journey, then you're probably as excited as I am about its release next week on March 13, as the first game in our Spring Fever event this year.

The reviews so far have been fantastic, and I can't wait to get online and experience the game online with other Journey fans.

If you caught Friday's update from Kellee, the last line of her post about big news coming Monday probably had you wondering what sort of news might be coming.

Well, earlier this morning I'm sure you saw this month's PS Plus blog post revealing that Journey will be available this week for all PS Plus members, one week ahead of the normal release date. What's more, this early access purchase comes with a bonus, an exclusive PS3 dynamic theme featuring some concept art from the game.

And if you're not a Plus member, we are also launching a special pre-order program as well. You'll be able to put your money down for the game and get hold...

MAG to be PlayStation Move Compatible, New PS3 Beta Program

MAG to be PlayStation Move Compatible, New PS3 Beta Program 100°
237w ago - Today Zipper Interactive's Jeremy Dunham has announced that MAG will soon be compatible with PlayStation Move, and he shared details on a new PS3 Beta program as follows:

If you're a fan of our massive 256-player first-person shooter, MAG, then today's news should be of great interest to you.

Truth be told, we have so many tremendous revisions coming to our "ever-changing global war" that it's almost impossible to tell you about everything we have planned in a single article... but we have to begin somewhere, and we're starting with PlayStation Move!

That's right, later this Autumn MAG will offer full compatibility with the PlayStation Move!

This added support means that users have another way to experience the most ambitious first-person shooter out there. Pinpoint accuracy and easy access to all of the game's mechanics ensure that players of any type – be they hardened veterans or new recruits – can enjoy a shooting experience unlike any other.

But PlayStation Move support isn't all we're working on. Because our upcoming content is so important to the game and its future, we want your assistance to make sure we get it right! With that notion in mind we're pleased to announce that, one week from today on August 24, we're inviting...

PS3 3D SDK Approved for PlayStation 3 3D Middleware Program

PS3 3D SDK Approved for PlayStation 3 3D Middleware Program 50°
240w ago - Sony has been quite vocal on PS3 3D lately, updating their PSN ToS and outlining plans for 3D movie and photo PlayStation 3 Firmware updates, and today GamaSutra.com (linked above) has confirmed Darkworks and TriOviz have partnered to bring an official PS3 3D SDK to the PlayStation 3 3D Middleware Program for licensed developers.

To quote: "Launching with little support for console games, 3D TVs present a chicken-and-egg dilemma; consumers are waiting for a critical mass of 3D content to justify the purchase while developers are waiting for an installed base of 3D TVs that justifies the development investment," said longtime graphics technology expert Jon Peddie.

He described TriOviz's tech as "an excellent bridging solution" allowing gamers to "play the same 3D console title on their existing HDTVs and then on their new 3D TVs."
