Video: Rack N Ruin PS4 Brings the Apocalypse to PlayStation 4

200°
7w ago - LifeSpark Entertainment's Tyler Hunter shared a video today announcing that Rack N Ruin PS4 brings the apocalypse to PlayStation 4.

To quote: Hello everyone! We're excited to announce that our game Rack N Ruin will be launching soon on PS4. Rack N Ruin has been in development for 3 years, and now it's almost done.

You may be asking, "What is this game? And 3 years! Why haven't I heard of it?" Well, I'm here to tell you.

Rack N Ruin is a top-down, action adventure game infused with a classic shmup. Its got all the trappings of a great action adventure game - a detailed open world, dungeons, puzzles, secrets, bosses, and numerous, curious items.

However Rack N Ruin doesn't play like your typical hack and slash. The shooter style combat is fast and hectic, with your highly capable character being set against deadly aggressive enemies. So get ready to embark on a quest to save the worl... oh, wait. I forgot to mention: you aren't the good guy here.

The game begins with Rack, the evilest evil doer in the history of evil - a title he totally earns - sent by Ruin, the lord and the dark master of the universe, to a pristine and innocent planet with orders to enslave its inhabitants.

EarthNight Coming to PS4, PS Vita: Dragon Apocalypse Approaches

100°
39w ago - Cleaversoft Lead Developer Rich Siegel announced today that EarthNight is coming to PS4 and PS Vita consoles with a trailer video below dubbed The Dragon Apocalypse Approaches.

To quote: Two and a half years ago we set out to make the deepest, most beautiful runner game of all time.

I'm so happy and proud to announce today that EarthNight will launch first on PS4, and shortly after on PS Vita in 2015. We will be showing off our first PS4 demo next week at E3 in Sony's booth, and we can't wait for people to get their hands on it.

EarthNight is a hand-painted roguelike runner about the dragon apocalypse. Dragons have taken over the Earth and exiled the decimated human population to outer space.

Our outraged heroes Stanley and Sydney decide to skydive to the planet's surface, taking out as many dragons as they can on their way. In terms of gameplay, Stanley is a good pick for beginners given his simpler control scheme. Sydney is for experts, with a less intuitive - but ultimately more rewarding - control scheme.

The game alternates between running on the backs of dragons and skydiving through a sea of the vile beasts. The running sections are frantic,...

PS Plus: Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition and Tomb Raider Free

50°
52w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer is here with this weeks PlayStation Plus update, which includes Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition and Tomb Raider free for PS Plus Members.

To quote: I think the best way to start off any new month is with two free PlayStation Plus games. For March we have Dead Nation: Apocalpyse Edition for your PlayStation 4 and Tomb Raider for your PlayStation 3. If you're unfamiliar with the original Dead Nation, it's a top-down twin-stick shooter that's best experienced with a friend.

Make sure you've got a strategy and plenty of items before you head out to take down hordes of zombies. The Apocalypse Edition was just announced last week, will be hitting PlayStation Store tomorrow, and it has some interesting benefits like an interactive live streaming option.

Then we have last year's critically acclaimed reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. Witness Lara's growth from young archeologist to bad-ass adventurer as her expedition gets shipwrecked on a mysterious island. Lara has to do a lot to survive, including live through several impalings, explore her surroundings and hunt wildlife.

You can download Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition and Tomb Raider after the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow.
