OlliOlli2 Arrives on PS4 and PS Vita Today, Free to PS Plus Members

OlliOlli2 Arrives on PS4 and PS Vita Today, Free to PS Plus Members 50°
3d ago - Roll7 General Dogsbody Simon Bennett announced that OlliOlli2 officially arrives on PS4 and PS Vita today, and is free to PS Plus members!

To quote: So, OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood is out today, and it's free on PlayStation Plus!

Everyone at Roll7 is hyped that the game is part of this month's PlayStation Plus lineup. This means that millions of people will be able to get their hands on our little skater.

It also means that leaderboards competition will be crazy, with people racing to become King of the Spot, Daily Grind Winners and smash their way up our new Ultimate Spots Leaderboards.

So, for those that have not heard about OlliOlli (where have you been?!!) the original game came out on PS Vita in January 2014, then on PS4, PS3 and PSTV later that summer.

The concept is relatively simple: it's a side scrolling skater in 2D - think Canabalt meets Tony Hawks Pro Skater. However, we cunningly gave the game a control system based around skating 'movement' (we are skaters ourselves). In OlliOlli you rotate and flick the left stick then press X to land.

We were blown away with the game's reception over the last year and how it managed to claw its way into so many people's lives! It has even been nominated for a BAFTA for best Sports Game - totally...

Forma 8: Raising the Bar on Sony's PS4 and PlayStation Vita

Forma 8: Raising the Bar on Sony's PS4 and PlayStation Vita 300°
1w ago - MixedBag Cofounder Mauro Fanelli shared details below today on Forma.8, which he proclaims raises the bar on Sony's PS4 and PlayStation Vita platforms.

To quote: It's almost one year since we announced that forma.8 was coming to PS4 and PS Vita on PlayStation.Blog, so it's time for an update, isn't it? In the announcement we shared a "late 2014" as a tentative release date and, as you can see since the game is still not available we, err... missed it, plain and simple.

Two factors contributed to the delay: first we focused on launching Futuridium EP Deluxe on PS4 and PS Vita and it took a bit more than expected, then we decided to raise the bar on forma.8, with a massive visual and technical overhaul.

As crazy as it may sound for a small team like MixedBag and on a long in the making project like forma.8 (we started working on it back in 2011!), we really felt that we had to try harder and polish the game further, pushing more and more to reach our original vision. And we're proud to finally share our progress with you for the first time here, right from the new demo we'll show at GDC next week!

Bringing An Alien World to Life

Forma.8 is an action adventure where you pilot a small robot probe stranded on an alien planet, on a dangerous mission...

Video: Deadman's Cross PS Vita is Out Today on PlayStation Vita

Video: Deadman's Cross PS Vita is Out Today on PlayStation Vita 50°
2w ago - Square Enix Producer Shinichi Tatsuke posted up a PS Vita video announcing that Deadman's Cross is out today on PlayStation Vita!

To quote: If, one day, 99.9% of humans turned into zombies, what would you do? Deadman's Cross is a game that depicts such a world.

Hello, my name is Shinichi Tatsuke and I'm a producer at Square Enix. I'd like to introduce Deadman's Cross, a game that launches today on PlayStation Vita.

This zombie card battle RPG recorded 4.7 million downloads worldwide last year. And now, it's coming to Vita as an enhanced, free-to-play game.

The setting is America in the year 2030. The government suddenly declares martial law in which everyone is restricted from going outside. You break the law and cautiously step outside - what you see is a world overrun with strange creatures called "Deadmen."

The game is split into two sections: shooting and card battles. In the shooting section, you'll shoot down Deadman, one after another, as they come after you. You fire away at the Deadmen that emerge in various areas like the town, graveyard, casino, aircraft carrier, and baseball field.

In this world, even animals and plants turn into Deadmen. Furthermore, historical...
