OlliOlli2 Arrives on PS4 and PS Vita Today, Free to PS Plus Members

OlliOlli2 Arrives on PS4 and PS Vita Today, Free to PS Plus Members 50°
22h ago - Roll7 General Dogsbody Simon Bennett announced that OlliOlli2 officially arrives on PS4 and PS Vita today, and is free to PS Plus members!

To quote: So, OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood is out today, and it's free on PlayStation Plus!

Everyone at Roll7 is hyped that the game is part of this month's PlayStation Plus lineup. This means that millions of people will be able to get their hands on our little skater.

It also means that leaderboards competition will be crazy, with people racing to become King of the Spot, Daily Grind Winners and smash their way up our new Ultimate Spots Leaderboards.

So, for those that have not heard about OlliOlli (where have you been?!!) the original game came out on PS Vita in January 2014, then on PS4, PS3 and PSTV later that summer.

The concept is relatively simple: it's a side scrolling skater in 2D - think Canabalt meets Tony Hawks Pro Skater. However, we cunningly gave the game a control system based around skating 'movement' (we are skaters ourselves). In OlliOlli you rotate and flick the left stick then press X to land.

We were blown away with the game's reception over the last year and how it managed to claw its way into so many people's lives! It has even been nominated for a BAFTA for best Sports Game - totally...

Sony Announces the PlayStation Plus Free Games for March 2015 100°
22h ago - Sony Social Media Senior Manager Sid Shuman revealed the PlayStation Plus free games for March 2015 today!

Below are the details, to quote: Another collection of excellent games joins PlayStation Plus this month, and you've come to the right place for details!

Starting things off on PS4 is Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - New 'n' Tasty! This side-scrolling adventure reboots the PlayStation classic with new visuals, new sound, enhanced controls, and even more dark humor than before.

Also coming to the PS4 lineup is Valiant Hearts: The Great War. This colorful puzzle game carries with it a heavy subject matter, as it follows four intersecting lives (and a loyal canine companion) during the first World War.

On PS3, gamers with PS Plus can download the critically-acclaimed Papo & Yo, alongside the wit-inducing Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. And on PS Vita, watch out for OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood and CounterSpy.

These games will be available for Plus members when PlayStation Store updates later today.

We know you've been looking forward to this day. We are excited to announce that the HBO GO app for PS4 will be ready to download later today.

Speaking of Game of Thrones, with the season 5 premiere airing on April 12th, you've got more than a month to get caught up on the first four amazing seasons. If you haven't seen the latest season 5 trailer, you can watch it here:

Amplitude: First PS4 Gameplay Trailer, Team Multiplayer Revealed

Amplitude: First PS4 Gameplay Trailer, Team Multiplayer Revealed 550°
2d ago - Creative Lead Ryan Lesser posted up the first Amplitude PS4 gameplay trailer today revealing Team Multiplayer below!

To quote: Hey there, fellow FreQ!

It's been a while since I've had a chance to talk to you about Amplitude, but with PAX East right around the corner, and looking at the great progress we've been making in development, it seems like a great time to show you what we are up to.

Team Amplitude has been working feverishly to bring a sweet build of the game to PAX East, and as of this past week, we think that we nailed it. In the past few months since showing the game at PlayStation Experience, we've put a real focus on multiplayer, hoping to get groups battling it out at PAX East.

While we were focusing on the gameplay for Amplitude multiplayer, I started posing a question to the team: What can we do to even the playing field when pro players sit on the couch to play against new players?

During a team meeting, I discussed thoughts that I had for things like "rubber-banding" and power-up distribution, and out of nowhere, Amplitude Audio Lead Pete Maguire threw out the idea of team play. TEAM PLAY!? Genius!

Team play is something we'd never done in Amplitude before, and allowing players to team up 2v2 or even 3v1 sounded like an amazing...
