August 27, 2010 // 7:19 pm - SCEE Blog Manager James Gallagher has announced today that PSN will be down for planned PlayStation Network maintenance this Monday- August 30, 2010.

To quote: PlayStation Network will undergo routine maintenance on Monday 30 August between the hours of 08:00 and 21:00 BST.

Nintendo 3DS Combats Piracy, Digital Distribution Planned 500°
July 12, 2010 // 6:51 pm - According to THQ's VP Ian Curran in a recent interview with CVG (linked above) new anti-piracy technology utilized in the 3DS will be foolproof to cracks from illegal downloaders alongside digital distribution.

Heavy Rain Initially Had Motion Control Planned for PlayStation 3 400°
February 12, 2010 // 1:01 pm - In a recent interview with Norwegian publication Dagbladet, creator David Cage stated that Heavy Rain initially had Motion Control planned for Sony's PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 DLC is Planned by Infinity Ward 350°
November 21, 2009 // 8:00 am - Although it's not a big surprise, a recent IGN Review has revealed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 DLC is already planned by Infinity Ward.

Downloadable content is set to include online map packs alongside missions for the successful Spec Ops.

Additionally, Infinity Ward recently released a small (non-downloadable) update for the console versions containing new gamemodes dubbed 3rd Person Team Tactical, Team Deathmatch Express, and Mosh Pit.

Guerilla Games: No Downloadable Co-op for Killzone 2 Planned 300°
April 14, 2009 // 10:35 pm - According to Co-founder and Managing Director of Guerrilla Games Hermen Hulst, Killzone 2 will not be receiving co-op as downloadable content.

To quote: "We looked at all the different flavors of co-op early on, but decided our first priority would have to be the single-player experience and the multiplayer," Hulst informed Game Informer.

"Rather than just tack on co-op, it would have to be integrated and done to a similar standard as the single and multiplayer."
