MGS4 Gun Metal Gray PS3 more than a Paint Job, less than 10k 50°
May 30, 2008 // 3:28 pm - Dani, the Administrator at the Konami forums, has clarified a few things about the MGS4 Limited Edition PS3.

The bundle is extremely limited, with "less than 10k (its actually a bit less than that, even)" being made available.

Also, it is not just a paint job it is made from a "different material, which has more of a matte finish and feel as opposed to the standard glossy one."

The DualShock3 controller which comes with it is also Gun Metal Gray like the console.

New Prince of Persia is officially nameless per Ubisoft 50°
May 19, 2008 // 3:44 pm - Ubisoft has debunked rumors that the new Prince of Persia game will be called Heir Apparent, stating that no name has officially been announced.

As we reported last week, a sneak preview of the latest Game Informer magazine had previously alluded to the new title. But a moderator has since posted on Ubisoft's official forums stating that 'Heir Apparent' is the name of the article and has nothing to do with the game itself.

No messing around on routers to forward ports or setting up DMZ, just access through PS3 network settings.

Nyko Zero Wireless controller CES 2008 demonstration 50°

Intel points the way toward wireless HD standard 50°
January 3, 2008 // 4:00 pm - In the run up to CES 2008 in Las Vegas, Intel, LG Electronics, Matsushita Electric, NEC, Samsung, Sibeam, Sony and Toshiba have announced the completion of a joint wireless specification for high-definition baseband video transmission, known as WirelessHD.

WirelessHD is a wireless high definition digital interface standard operating in the unlicensed and globally available 60GHz frequency band for consumer applications. It is expected to be used for televisions, HD disc players, set-top boxes and gaming consoles.

Google sets sights on US airwaves 50°
December 1, 2007 // 3:44 am - Google has announced it is in the running for a slice of the US airwaves that would allow it to launch a nationwide wireless internet network.

Part of the spectrum, called the C Block, is being sold by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in an auction starting at $4.6bn (£2.2bn).

The planned transition to digital TV services in the US has freed up the wireless capacity.

The C Block radio waves will be free from early 2009.

Google hopes that the new network capacity will allow it to compete directly with existing mobile communications...
