Sony Officially Reveals Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 Trophy List

650°
134w ago - Today Sony Producer Yoshikazu Matsuhana of the Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy Project has officially revealed the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 Trophy List!

To quote: Did you all experience Metal Gear Solid 4 back in 2008? Or maybe for some reason you missed it? The Trophy system was introduced to PS3 in the middle of 2008.

However, by that time, MGS4 had already finished development and was about to launch, so we were regrettably unable to implement Trophies at launch. But, we've always had it on our to-do list and users have given us continuous feedback requesting Trophies over the years.

For all those who have asked "where are the Trophies?" we are very sorry for the long wait. However, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear series, we are very pleased to announce that trophies will finally be coming to MGS4 in the beginning of August!

Furthermore, retail versions of the game in stores will be updated to offer native Trophy support out of the box.

For loyal fans and new players alike, there's never been a better time to relive the experience of MGS4. The timeless PS3 classic is back - now with full Trophy support!!

Video: The Monsters of God of War: Ascension - The Elephantaur

200°
134w ago - Today Community Strategist Aaron Kaufman at Santa Monica Studio has shared a video spotlighting the monsters of God of War: Ascension for the PlayStation 3 console dubbed The Elephantaur.

To quote: God of War: Ascension's Elephantaur is a Minotaur hybrid unlike any ferocious enemy you've seen yet in the God of War universe.

You could call him an evolution of the Minotaur... or perhaps the beginning? We'll let our famed concept artist Izzy answer that for you. Let's roll!

Now that you've given us a glimpse into the creative process that spawned the monstrous Polyphemus, let's plunge our blades into God of War's newest baddie: The Elephantaur!

Tell us a bit about its history and how you managed to turn one of nature's most noble creatures into such a hulking juggernaut.

Izzy: For God of War III I had worked on the Berserker class Argus monster that was later cut. When I originally started doing sketches for that guy, I had done a painting of a pale elephant coated in blood like a gladiator. That image got scrapped, but ever since, I've wanted to do another scary elephant monster.

When the Elephantaur came up, it was originally an assignment to reskin the Minotaur from God of War III for God of War: Ascension. We had planned to do a different...

Below are the details, to quote: Hey everyone! Last week, SuperBot Entertainment and PlayStation invited a small group of players to get a hands-on preview of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale as part of our early development beta.

We're beginning to test our servers and connectivity issues and this is just the beginning as we work toward rolling out a public beta to the entire PlayStation nation this Fall.

As part of this exclusive access, players were able to take control of characters such as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, PaRappa the Rapper, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, and Fat Princess and battle in environments such as Dreamscape, Metropolis, Sandover Village, and Hades.

The feedback we're receiving from beta testers has been highly encouraging and valuable, helping us craft the best online multiplayer fighting experience possible.

In addition, there was an unexpected and unintended leak in our beta that allowed fans to be able to see some additional content.

We've enjoyed reading all of the fan reaction and are thrilled that so many of you are excited to learn more about our character roster and level mash-ups,...
