Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising PS3 DLC is Only Weeks Away

50°
281w ago - The team behind Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising have stated that DLC will be coming to the PS3, XBox 360 and PC in a matter of weeks for the game.

Codemasters' Sion Lenton, Exec Producer, revealed the following in an interview with Telegraph, to quote:

"We've got some very ambitious plans with DLC - our first pack is coming up in a matter of weeks. We'll also have title updates coming up because once the game's out there, we'll need to get feedback from the people who are playing it, and if need be make a few adjustments and tweaks.

Our team are already prototyping all sorts of stuff to be released as DLC and we're really excited about it. It's a really different type of market now; I remember five or six years ago, you'd get a game, finish it, put it back on the shelf and that was it.

But now it's almost as though the game's release is just the beginning, really. Ours is a game that lends itself very well to expansion - there will be weapons packs, map packs - all sorts of things we can do to get our product out there."

100°
282w ago - Today SCEA Producer Daimion Pinnock has announced that a new Crash Commando PS3 update will be hitting Sony's PSN this week.

To quote: There's a new patch update that we will be releasing later this week, which will fix some of the issues that have come to our attention since the initial launch of the full game, and the inclusion of the DLC pack released previously in August.

As a reminder to players that perhaps have not purchased the latest DLC pack, you will find that we have included 6 new playable characters, ranging from a Commando, to a French Mermaid all with their own unique taunts and animations, and 2 new playable Maps.

The DLC pack can be purchased for $4.99, or you can purchase the 3 individual packs for $1.99 each. The full game is priced at $9.99, and there's even a demo so you can try before you by.

For more on the update, once again here's John McLaughlin from Xdev Studio Europe to give you a rundown. Looking forward to seeing you online soon!!

Hello to all Crash Commandos,

Well I asked you all to go easy on my last time, but it looks like no one took any notice of my begging. )
I hope you are enjoying the new maps and characters...I've been hearing the Colonel taking about some lederhosen and had the Ninja...

283w ago - Today SCEE Content Manager Nina Scherer has shared this week's SingStore content update, as follows:

Hi and welcome to what is sadly going to be my last SingStore update post for you guys across the big pond.

My lovely colleagues at SCEA will be updating you about everything SingStar and SingStore from now onwards, which is great because they are actually not finishing work when you get up so responses will be much faster than me having to catch up with you the next day in London! Exciting news all around!

Moving on to this week's update, which boasts great tracks from the likes of Kool & the Gang, Celine Dion, Cheap Trick and The Specials. My personal favorite however will have to be 'Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds because it's just brilliant and featured in the equally brilliant movie 'The Breakfast Club'.

That's it from me. Thanks for all your support on here over past few months, I'll miss y'all. And should you really have the urge to get in contact with me again, you can always stop by on the EU Blog to say 'Hi'.

In English

•Blind - "Break Away"
• Sanne Salomonsen - "Everybody's Eyes On You"
• 1990s - "You're Supposed To Be My Friend"
