131w ago - Following up on their previous update, Sony Community Strategist Aaron Kaufman at Santa Monica Studio has detailed another of the Monsters in God of War: Ascension for PS3 today, namely the Satyr Captain!

To quote: As we continue the journey to March 12, 2013, we want to further explore all aspects of the God of War universe, giving you deeper insight into the creation, lore, design, and gameplay of God of War: Ascension. Welcome to our third Monsters of Ascension feature.

The Satyr Captain in God of War: Ascension continues the evolution of the "Satyr," an enemy that has featured in every God of War game from the beginning.

This time, however, these grunts are getting a "pack master" in the form of the vicious Satyr Captain. In today's post, our famed concept artist Izzy continues his dissection of the Monsters of Ascension. Let's roll!

The God of War Satyrs are traditionally pretty formidable alone and even more so in groups. Now with the addition of the Goat Captain, they add rank and structure to their arsenal. Those are some pretty stacked odds that Kratos is up against. What sparked the idea to give them a...

131w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman has shared an interview with Inafune today on the upcoming video game title Soul Sacrifice for PlayStation Vita below.

To quote: In the world of video game development, Keiji Inafune is a giant among men.

The illustrator and former global head of production at Capcom has played a key role in the development of an astounding array of games spanning a diverse lineup of genres, everything from Mega Man to Resident Evil to Lost Planet and many more.

With his new role at Comcept and Intercept, Inafune is expanding his influence to new projects, including the upcoming "dark fantasy" PS Vita title Soul Sacrifice.

During Gamescom last week, we caught up with Inafune to learn more about his ambitious new game that forces players to make painful decisions.

PlayStation.Blog: How do you take something painful - sacrifice - and make it fun in a gameplay setting?

Keiji Inafune: If you hear the word "sacrifice" it obviously sounds painful. But that's because you think of sacrifice as sacrificing yourself.

Atlus Unveils Persona 4 Golden: Solid Gold Premium PS Vita Edition

50°
131w ago - Atlus Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has officially unveiled the Persona 4 Golden: Solid Gold Premium Edition today for PlayStation Vita fans.

To quote: Persona 4 Golden. It's so hot right now. It's Japan's hottest PS Vita game of all time, selling more than twice as many units as the next bestselling title.

In the weeks following P4G's release, PS Vita hardware sales in Japan saw a dramatic spike, larger than at any time since the start of the year.

Perhaps it's because the original Persona 4 became such a phenomenon, winning tremendous critical acclaim and adoration from consumers. It could also be because Golden, the enhanced and expanded PS Vita version of the game, dramatically improves on the beloved RPG classic in so many gosh darn ways.

Did you know I speak PS Vita? True story. I can hear yours from here, musing aloud, longing for something amazing; it's practically begging to be loved. It wants copious oodles of Persona and it wants said oodles right now.

It wants 100+ hours of interacting with fleshed out, sharply written characters. It yearns for a rich world to get lost in, for intense battles, for blazing fast load times. Translation: your PS Vita has a fever, and the only prescription, is more Persona 4 Golden.

We...
