Video: First Look: The World of Powers on PlayStation Network

Video: First Look: The World of Powers on PlayStation Network 250°
2w ago - Sony Executive Producer and Showrunner Charlie Huston shared a first look PSN video today at The World of Powers on PlayStation Network below.

To quote: I'm coming up on an anniversary.

Very soon I will clock my third full year of involvement with Powers. I'm not certain of the exact date, but that anniversary is going to hit almost exactly on the March 10th Powers premiere date. Let's hear it for synchronicity.

Here's another bit of synchronicity. Long before I became involved with Powers, years before I met Brian Michael Bendis or Michael Avon Oeming (I like that both those guys buck the single name branding trend by going with their full spread three-stack names.

I tried it, but my full name makes me sound like a reject from the Monty Python Upper Class Twit of the Year Award sketch), long before I had any involvement in TV as a business, lo those many years ago, I was given an opportunity to write some comic books.

Like any healthy geek introvert, I'd been a fan of comics as a kid and a teen, but as the years passed and I developed any number of unhealthy bad habits that distracted me from such things, my visits to the local shop diminished and, finally, disappeared.

2w ago - Today Mike Longley of Pringo Dingo Games announced that Paparazzi is now available alongside a PS4 video of the frenetic multiplayer action on PlayStation 4 below!

To quote: Hello everybody! Mike here from Pringo Dingo Games, and our first title Paparazzi is out today on PS4!

Paparazzi is a 2 player local multiplayer game in which player 1, the celebrity, frantically avoids the camera of player 2, the paparazzi. Avoid the paparazzi to maintain your dignity or catch the celebrity to rack up some money in this fast, frantic, and silly indie game!

Each match of Paparazzi is a 1v1 showdown between celebrity and paparazzi. It's a matchup of predator and prey; the celebrity runs and hides while the paparazzi tries to catch them.

Paparazzi is also FAST. We did our best when designing the game to never compromise the speed of play, while still discouraging being "spammy".

Each side has a different playstyle, so we want to give you a rundown of how both work...

The celebrity is the prey. You're a small character in each scrolling level, with the ability to hide behind every object in the world. Your main weapon is your dash - you can dash a short distance in the level at any point...

Video: Hand of Fate PS4 Out Today on PlayStation 4, What to Expect 250°
2w ago - Defiant Development Associate Producer Kim Allom shared a PS4 video today announcing that Hand of Fate arrives today on PlayStation 4 with details below of what to expect!

To quote: Hi guys! Kim from Defiant Development, here. Today marks the launch of Hand of Fate on PS4, and I wanted to give ya'll insight into what you should expect while you play this roguelike deckbuilder we hold dear to our hearts.

Before I get to the juicy stuff, allow me to talk a bit about Defiant and how Hand of Fate came to fruition.

So we're an indie studio based in Brisbane, Australia (more commonly known as 'Straya) - home to bird-eating spiders and dingoes that eat babies. At least the beaches and forests are nice.

I digress! Over the last four years we've built a team of local veterans of the console industry (Pandemic, THQ, SEGA, and Krome), and fresh new talent.

A couple of successful mobile games later, we found ourselves in a strong position where the team can bring indie to console, thus the conception of Hand of Fate.

In fact, we'll be the first Australian studio to both self-publish and develop a title for PS4. This is a massive achievement for us, and 'Straya as a whole!

Video: Deadman's Cross PS Vita is Out Today on PlayStation Vita 50°
2w ago - Square Enix Producer Shinichi Tatsuke posted up a PS Vita video announcing that Deadman's Cross is out today on PlayStation Vita!

To quote: If, one day, 99.9% of humans turned into zombies, what would you do? Deadman's Cross is a game that depicts such a world.

Hello, my name is Shinichi Tatsuke and I'm a producer at Square Enix. I'd like to introduce Deadman's Cross, a game that launches today on PlayStation Vita.

This zombie card battle RPG recorded 4.7 million downloads worldwide last year. And now, it's coming to Vita as an enhanced, free-to-play game.

The setting is America in the year 2030. The government suddenly declares martial law in which everyone is restricted from going outside. You break the law and cautiously step outside - what you see is a world overrun with strange creatures called "Deadmen."

The game is split into two sections: shooting and card battles. In the shooting section, you'll shoot down Deadman, one after another, as they come after you. You fire away at the Deadmen that emerge in various areas like the town, graveyard, casino, aircraft carrier, and baseball field.

In this world, even animals and plants turn into Deadmen. Furthermore, historical...

Video: Finding the Cast of The Order: 1886 PS4 on PlayStation 4 200°
2w ago - Ready At Dawn Studios CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya shared a PS4 video today on finding the cast of The Order: 1886 on PlayStation 4 below.

To quote: With the many areas we've covered over the months as we approach the launch of The Order: 1886, there's still one major aspect we haven't yet addressed: the cast.

About a year into the project, once the story and initial script were written, it was time for us to cast our characters. The requirements were pretty stringent, the character sheet was filled with details of each of the protagonists that would make our game and define our world.

Finding the right actors for these parts was the last piece of the puzzle to finally make each of our characters come to life.

The search was long. It took many months, rounds of casting and auditions with a wide spectrum of extremely talented actors. In the end, it came down to four people who would form the core of the Order's most elite squad. We finally had our cast.

Steve West stepped in the shoes of our protagonist, Sir Galahad. He brought with him the balance and stoicism...
