Video: Soul Sacrifice Delta Gets Freedom Wars PS Vita DLC Today

50°
27w ago - Sony Producer Kumi Yuasa announced today that Soul Sacrifice Delta is getting Freedom Wars PS Vita DLC today complete with a video trailer below.

To quote: Hello everyone. Look, I know we've got to stop meeting like this, but it's been a whole fortnight since the last update.

Anyway, it's not my fault if Freedom Wars has decided to invite itself into the world of Soul Sacrifice Delta.

The party crashing Sinners shouldn't be too much of a problem, mind: they're slaves, too, so you should really hit it off.

I guess they've done some kind of deal with Carnatux, as he happens to have the latest Sinner fashion on his shelves now:

OK, they may not look too fancy by Soul Sacrifice standards, but I'm told they're all the rage in the Panopticon, and yours to own if you defeat the Dionaea 3 times. Bargain!

As if this wasn't enough motivation, there's also a couple of really nice offerings for you in (the unlikely) case you do not die a horrible death, destroy the Dionaea's cursed parts, and defeat the beast. Piece of cake!

Just hit the "Download"...

Freedom Wars is Launching on October 28th for PlayStation Vita

100°
28w ago - Sony Product Manager Ken Chan announced today that Freedom Wars is launching on October 28th for PlayStation Vita with details below.

To quote: Earlier last week, Justin from PlayStation.Blog was kind enough to share his personal experiences with the 4-player co-op mode with Freedom Wars.

While most of you really enjoyed the video, some of the repeated questions and comments from the thread included:

• What's up with the release date?
• Where are the pre-order DLCs?
• How do I get the pre-order if I purchase from PlayStation Store?

Well, we're here to answer those questions today!

To begin, we are incredibly thrilled to officially announce that Freedom Wars will launch in North America on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 for $29.99.

For those looking for a head start in reducing your sentence within the world of Freedom Wars, our participating retailers are offering the same pre-order DLC as the original Japan release. These items include:

• Limited Edition Costume - Personalize your Freedom Wars character with Formal Wear
• Powerful Starter Weapons - Upgraded melee and long range attack weapon.
• Limited Edition Sticker Set - For in-game use
• Combat Pack Item - Medical Supply Set

Lastly, for...

Video: Sony Goes Hands-on with Freedom Wars on PS Vita

50°
29w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill went hands-on today sharing a PS Vita video showcasing Freedom Wars on PlayStation Vita below.

To quote: PS Vita exclusive Freedom Wars comes courtesy of Japan Studio, Dimps, and Shift, and places you into the unfortunate shoes of a prisoner facing a one million year sentence.

It's not all bad news, though! By battling fearsome Abductors and rescuing citizens, your captors will generously reduce the length of your imprisonment - a few years at a time.

Featuring four-player local co-op (via an ad-hoc wireless connection, with vacant slots filled by computer-controlled companions), Freedom Wars rewards coordinated cooperative play.

One player can use a grappling hook to pull an enemy to the ground, while another dashes in to rescue an innocent trapped within the beast's chest.

While transporting a civilian to safety, you'll rely on the protection of your teammates to keep you and your cargo alive. Alternatively, eight player (4v4) competitive play is an option when playing via the magic of the internet.

I recently went hands-on with Freedom Wars, along with my pals Ken, Kumi and Jake, the results of which you can see at the top...

Digital Dreams: Metrico is Out Today on PS Vita, Free for PS Plus

50°
30w ago - Digital Dreams Level Designer Roy van de Mortel announced that Metrico is out today on PS Vita and is free for PS Plus members!

To quote: Today is the day. Metrico is available now on PS Vita. We have one more post on Metrico to celebrate this and share some insights about Trophies and PS Plus, but we'd like to start out with the premiere of the Metrico Release trailer!

Metrico Trophies

Since experimenting is the very core of Metrico, we wanted to incorporate this in every aspect of the game as part of our holistic design process. This means we took quite some time to come up with a cool - possibly rather difficult - set of Trophies for the game.

We decided to make all of them hidden and see how long it takes for you to figure them out and spread them across the internet. As such, it wouldn't make much sense to spoil them here, but I can talk about them a little bit:

There are a total of 11 Trophies in the game. Each of Metrico's six worlds have unique Trophies, which can be earned by completing each world while meeting specific requirements. There are a couple more obvious Trophies scattered throughout the game that will also prove to be difficult to find and solve... Good luck...
