European PlayStation Store Update for December 10, 2009 300°
273w ago - Today Mike Kebby from SCEE's PlayStation Store Team has shared this week's European PSN update, to quote:

So, we're into the business end of the year; three more store updates to go, and then the festivities begin.

Things are ramping up in terms of content, and I'm sure there is something that caters to everyone's tastes in each of the updates that round out the year. We'll also have a new batch of Special Offers next week to see out the year too, so keep your eyes peeled for those.

To start us off this week though, for PS3 we have the anticipated PixelJunk Shooter, combining old school mechanics and the usual quirky styling you expect from the guys behind the PixelJunk games.

Moving on to the PSP, we have a new batch of minis available (don't forget from the 17th minis will be playable on PS3 too), and you can also grab digital copies of Avatar and Tekken 6 (this title is not available until Friday however) too.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that there is additional Metal Gear Solid love for PSP this week, with the digital releases of Portable Ops, Portable Ops + and the Digital Graphic Novel.

There is plenty more available however, so for the full run...

Rumor: Sony's PS3 Motion Controller Named PlayStation Gem

Rumor: Sony's PS3 Motion Controller Named PlayStation Gem 550°

Today, MCVUK.com (linked above) may have found a clue... Sony's upcoming PS3 Motion Controller could be named simply PlayStation Gem.

To quote: John Riccitiello refers to new tech as the PlayStation Gem at UBS Media Conference.

Maybe he mis-spoke, maybe it was a slip of the tongue - or maybe, just maybe, EA boss John Riccitiello has accidentally...
