Video: MAG PlayStation 3 Developer Tips: Sniper 50°
262w ago - Zipper Interactive's Sr. Community Manager Jeremy Dunham has started off the week with the next installment in their PlayStation 3 developer video series, with today's tips highlighting the MAG PS3 Sniper.

To quote: People who play as snipers love it. People who are killed by snipers hate them.

But regardless of which end of the spectrum you're currently on, anyone can become an expert at the Zoom-in of Death with this excellent tips provided by UI Manager Steve Harris and Lead Designer of MAG, CJ Heine.

What's up? This is Steve and it's important that you know that Snipers are usually the guys supporting the rest of the team by clearing objective areas or preventing the opposing team from reaching their objectives from long range.

Being an effective sniper and contributing to your squad is extremely rewarding when it's done correctly. Here are a few tips to help you become a better MAG Sniper.

Basic Tips

• Keep moving! The biggest mistake that snipers make is that they stay camped in one spot. The action in MAG moves very quickly, and even if you are able to take a few targets down, it's just a matter of time...

Heavy Rain Receives a 226MB PlayStation 3 Patch Update 250°
262w ago - Update: According to Examiner.com, the Heavy Rain PS3 patch update is causing more technical issues for gamers although Sony is investigating.

To quote: "Many are complaining about game crashes, audio skipping, save/loading problems, and some characters getting caught in furniture. Not all are complaining about the game, though.

For many, the game is running fine after the patch and they are enjoying the experience the game offers. Whether the problems are widespread or just a minor problem for some can't be determined, yet."

Heavy Rain was released just before the weekend on February 18, 2010 in Japan and has already received a 226MB PlayStation 3 patch update.

According to PS3Insider.de (linked above), prior to playing the game users will be prompted to download and install this PS3 patch file which reportedly fixes some lag issues.

To quote, roughly translated: "Add to Heavy Rain, a patch has been released. The patch has a size of 226 MB.

This struck us as we have once again brought the same test specimen. What changes...

Video: Blade Kitten Coming to PlayStation 3 via PSN This Spring 250°
263w ago - Krome Studios Creative Director Steve Stamatiadis has revealed alongside a trailer video that Blade Kitten is coming exclusively to PlayStation 3 via PSN this Spring.

To quote: I'm the creator and director of Krome Studios' new game, Blade Kitten, a brand new hi-def, high-action PS3 game coming to the PlayStation Network in the Spring.

I'm sure all of you often get asked "WTF is a Blade Kitten?" I know I rdo all the time.

No? Then I guess I should tell you the tale of a catgirl, her sword and a blobby alien critter thing. A sordid past.

Sometime in the latter part of the 20th Century I was working on a bunch of ideas for comics and games. I'd start reusing elements that I thought were really cool, like alien species, characters, mecha, weapons, until eventually realizing I was creating a universe that they all shared.

Then around 2001 - not long after we had started work on TY the Tasmanian Tiger – I found I had three different ideas that each had elements I liked but none had ALL the elements I wanted. One was too cartoony (a super powered anime schoolgirl), the other was too serious (Space Gladiators with guns) and the third was an aborted...

263w ago - Zipper Interactive Sr. Community Manager Jeremy Dunham has shared a Rapid Assault video today as part of their ongoing MAG PlayStation 3 developer tips series.

A common soldier type on the battlefield, the Rapid Assault guys are all about speed and efficiency - and the guy who's going to tell you how to master them is the always-awesome designer, Christopher Burns.

Watch the following video and then settle in as Chris takes us away to strategy land!

Hello folks, I'm Christopher Burns from Zipper Interactive and I'm here to help get you started using the Rapid Assault weapons and tactics.

Basic Tips

• Rapid Assault troops are a combination of firepower and mobility. Their primary proficiency is with the Assault Rifle, and their Medium Armor frees them up to move quickly. With careful Armory choices, a properly-spec'd Rapid Assault troop can even and take on certain utility roles here and there...

Videos: Heavy Rain PlayStation 3 Paris Launch Party Recap 50°
263w ago - Sony's Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell has shared some pictures and recap videos from the recent Heavy Rain PlayStation 3 Paris launch party today.

To quote: As you already know, Heavy Rain drops this Tuesday, and that means this weekend's wait will most likely seem undoubtedly long.

To help ease the pain, PlayStation.Blog.Europe's Jem Alexander comes bearing gifts: videos, pictures and a first-hand account of this week's Parisian activities. Take it away, Jem!

I hope you're ready for lots of Heavy Rain content, because while we were at the big Launch Party in Paris this week we managed to secure a nice amount of interview and video content which should tide you over until well after the game comes out next week.

To kick things off we've got a short teaser video and some photos which should give you an idea of what the launch event was like. I would've loved for you all to have been there with us, but hopefully this is the next best thing.

The event took place at the Gaumont Cinema on the Champs Elysees in Paris, where David Cage (Writer/Director), Guillaume de Fondaumiere (Executive Producer), Pascal Langdale (Actor - Ethan Mars),...
