2w ago - Avalanche Studios Co-founder and CCO Christofer Sundberg posted up the first Just Cause 3 PS4 trailer video for PlayStation 4 fans below today!

To quote: Hi PlayStation fans, the first Just Cause 3 trailer is here! It's very hard to put into words just how excited we are about sharing a first glimpse of the game that we have been pouring our hearts and souls into. It's a big moment for all of us in the studio.

Our "Firestarter" CG trailer hints at some of the new features we're bringing with Just Cause 3, and sets the tone for what you can expect from the first look at gameplay that we're working hard on. This time around it's more about Rico than ever before.

What motivates him to travel the world from one stunning location to the other? What drives him to destroy in order to preserve freedom? Well, you will find out in due course.

I can already hear you saying: "Just give us the gameplay!" All I can say is: I know. We can't wait to show you what we've been working on, and we take a lot of pride in it.

That's why we want to make sure the first gameplay trailer we put out shows what Just Cause 3 is about, and that it meets both ours and your expectations.

And that takes...

Sony Introduces PlayStation Heroes, Play Games with Celebs for Causes 400°
2w ago - Sony VP of Platforms Marketing John Koller introduced PlayStation Heroes today, where users can play games with celebrities to benefit the world's great causes!

To quote: Hi PlayStation Nation! I'm extremely excited to announce PlayStation HEROES, a brand new initiative that will give PS4 owners the chance to play celebrities and professional athletes in the games of their choosing, with nearly all funds raised going to charity.

This is not a one-time event - gamers will get the chance to challenge celebs every month.

Winners will play some of the biggest PS4 games with cultural icons from the sports and entertainment worlds, online via PlayStation Network and in person.

Here's how it works: PS4 owners will purchase and download digital themes and other items via an official PlayStation HEROES app, with each dollar spent providing you with a sweepstakes entry to win one of the celebrity gaming sessions.

Ninety percent of the purchase price of those items will help aid some amazing charitable organizations including Make-A-Wish, The USO and The V Foundation for Cancer Research. To celebrate PlayStation HEROES and kick start our support for these incredible causes, we're donating $100,000 to each charity.

Sony on PSN: Upgrade PSN Sub Accounts to Master Accounts 700°
3w ago - Sony Network Entertainment VP Eric Lempel shared details today on how you can upgrade PSN Sub Accounts to Master Accounts below.

To quote: Starting today, PlayStation Network (PSN) users will gain the ability to upgrade a sub account to a master account. We're always listening to user feedback, and this is a feature that many of you have asked for.

You'll be able to upgrade an account first through the web and later through PlayStation 4. Instructions on how to start this process through the web can be found here.

In case you aren't familiar, sub accounts allow users under the age of 18 to access PSN while letting parents or guardians manage their online experience. A variety of PSN features can be limited through sub accounts including messages, monthly spending limits, and gameplay broadcasts.

Additional information is available on our Knowledge Center, here.

If you were on a sub account and turned 18 (Happy belated birthday!), you may want to upgrade to a master account to access the full feature set of PlayStation's online experience, including PlayStation Store.

Video: Gravity-bending Brawler Paperbound Coming Soon to PS4 500°
3w ago - Sony Designer and Programmer Dan Holbert announced that the gravity-bending brawler Paperbound is coming soon to PlayStation 4 with a PS4 video trailer below!

To quote: Hi, I'm Dan Holbert, designer and programmer of Paperbound, a crazy new brawler coming soon to PS4.

I'd like to share our trailer, talk a bit about the game, and answer any questions you have. It's been a long journey filled with 7-day work weeks, so the team is happy that a lot of people have really enjoyed it.

Paperbound is a game where you run with scissors and walk on walls – all in the context of old books that have come to life. It's a local multiplayer brawler.

Two-to-four players fight it out in single-screen arenas from the pages of old books including A Journey to the Center of the Earth, Dante's Inferno, Musashi's Book of Five Rings, the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, and Skull Kingdom.

Magic dust has brought the characters from these books to life and given them the ability to manipulate gravity. Your gravity reorients to match the surface you're traveling along. You can also flip your gravity 180 degrees at any time for quick surprise attacks and fly-by decapitations.

It's both wacky and...
