2w ago - Game Designer Nick Livingston posted up a PS4 video today detailing the universal rewards and equipment in MLB 15 The Show on PlayStation 4 below.

To quote: Hello, friends! Today we're revealing some details about three new features in MLB 15 The Show: Universal Rewards, Licensed Equipment, and our 30 Legends.

Keep an eye on our new Twitch channel for even more in-depth coverage of our robust new feature set!

In the last couple years, we've added something we call your Universal Profile, which tracks your playstyle tendencies and passively rewards you with XP and Stubs while you play. This year, in addition to XP and Stubs, you'll earn new Items usable throughout different game modes.

Road to the Show is a mode focused on one player's path to the majors and beyond. As you play, you'll find different qualities of licensed equipment that can enhance your player's attributes. Once you find them, you'll equip them to your player for an instant boost to his skill. Your player has slots for a Bat, Batting Gloves, Fielding Glove, Cleats, and echoing the traditions of our sport, a...

Video: Minutes Lands on PS4 and PS Vita Today, Launch Trailer

2w ago - Red Phantom Games Founder / Director Richard Ogden shared a trailer video announcing that Minutes officially lands on PS4 and PS Vita platforms today.

To quote: I'm pleased to announce that Minutes will be available on PlayStation Store today. It's a unique, abstract action game with retro DNA, a pure arcade heart, a super-clean visual style and music to get you in the zone!

Inspired by a need to rebel against AAA titles, I've designed a minimalist game. Minutes is all about gameplay purity. There are no cutscenes or dialogue trees here. It's stripped down to the fundamentals - move, collect, avoid, gauge risk vs. reward, think and react.

The challenge unfolds across 60 one-minute levels, chasing the score targets and other goals with different "energy shapes" to test you and various power-ups to unlock and assist you.

The mechanics at the game's core are simple: the player controls a circle and moves it around the screen to collect light energy shapes (for points) and avoid dark (which damage the player).

On top of this, the size of the circle can be changed (using the L and R shoulder buttons). Go small to stay safe and dodge through the dark energy. Go large to collect more light...

Video: DmC Definitive Edition on PS4: Vergil's Bloody Palace Detailed

3w ago - Ninja Theory Product Development Ninja Dominic Matthews shared a PS4 video today showcasing the DmC Definitive Edition on PlayStation 4 which details Vergil's Bloody Palace below.

To quote: Hello PlayStation fam, Dominic Matthews from Ninja Theory here. With the PS4 launch of DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition just about a month away, I wanted to give you some more details on one of the game's most requested new features: Vergil's Bloody Palace.

Watch the video on YouTube at 1080p and 60 frames per second!

Vergil is a huge favorite amongst Devil May Cry fans. It will come as no surprise to you that when DmC was originally released, one of the most requested features for the game was a Bloody Palace mode just for Vergil.

When we knew we were getting the chance to create a new definitive edition of DmC, one of the first things on our list was to give the fans the mode that they seemed to want more than any other.

Vergil's Bloody Palace is a 60-floor combat arena. Unlike Dante's Bloody Palace, where the difficulty progresses through the 5 main difficulty levels, Vergil's Bloody palace starts on Nephilim difficulty for the first 20 waves, moves onto Son of Sparda difficulty, and ends with...

Video: QBert Rebooted is Coming to PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita

850°
3w ago - LOOT Entertainment Product Manager Jason Sorensen announced today that QBert Rebooted is coming to PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita platforms with a video trailer below.

To quote: Want to play one of the most well-known, bestselling games in the history of gaming? Q*Bert is back - for your PS4, PS3 and Vita.

The complete, original version of Q*Bert is only half of the equation. Gonzo Games, Sideline Amusements, Games Production Company, and we here at LOOT Entertainment are also bringing to PlayStation a completely reimagined Q*Bert game: Q*Bert Rebooted.

To keep it short and sweet: you get two great Q*Bert games (on all three PlayStation platforms) for the price of one.

So: how do you take such a classically perfect game design and successfully modernize it?

Instead of cubes, Q*Bert Rebooted features hexagons. That may not sound like a game-changer, but it is; suddenly, you get some really interesting level designs, especially later in the game.

In addition, there are new features, such as time and score challenges, new enemies with their own unique behaviors, new playable characters, power-ups, traps, and gem-collecting. Q*Bert Rebooted is the equivalent of your old backyard...

3w ago - XDev Studio Europe Producer Mark O'Connor shared a video today announcing that Super Stardust Ultra is launching on PS4 this February 10th.

To quote: Hello again, everyone. Following up on my post announcing that Super Stardust Ultra was coming to PS4 (which you can read here), it gives me great pleasure to let you all know that it will be available to download next week on February 10th.

I can also confirm that Super Stardust Ultra supports 3D at full 60 frames per second! We think this is something that you'll want to show to friends and family, it really does add an extra dimension to an already unique and great looking game.

Super Stardust Ultra is packed with incredible depth and variety, from five newly designed planets and other visual enhancements, to nine different single-player game modes. Some of which are brand new, only on PS4.

One of these modes is Blockade. As if blasting through hazardous meteor storms or fighting off enemy spacecraft wasn't difficult enough, you now have to avoid an endless trail of deadly mines that are continually dropped from the back of your Star fighter.

The twist however is that everything else on the planet is also destroyed if it makes contact...
