Top 10 Ways to Piss Off Gamers on Forums!

50°
346w ago - Nobody paying attention to you in forums? Well worry not. Gamers World Bangladesh brings you a list of the hot-button topics that is sure to get a surge of comments headed your way, and possibly more than what you bargained for.

1. Brand Loyalty (Equals Fanboyism)

Whatever you do, never say you love [insert favorite console here] instead of the PS3/Xbox 360/Wii/PSP/DS for fear of being branded as a fanboy. You'll be instantly drowned in hate messages from other people defending their PS3/Xbox 360/Wii/PSP/DS (aka other fanboys). I think of fanboyism as brand loyalty. Variations also include ATI vs Nvidia.

2. Microsoft sucks

Anything with Microsoft (or Vista) in the headline and defaming the company is a surefire way to get attention. Who cares if its chairman is the largest donator to charity. So what if almost everyone uses Windows, Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer (although Firefox is gaining). The point is they can't do anything right and makes a great topic to stir up the hornets nest.

3. PC Gaming Is Doomed

The classical way to start a 'heated' discussion. Just kick back and relax while the argument takes off with why PC gaming is doomed/isn't doomed and how a big noob you are for starting the topic in the first place.

50°
347w ago - Poisonhzkj has returned with an official update to the theme-changing plug-in, adding full support for 4.01 M33 series custom firmware. And that's not all, this version of CXMB is cross-compatible with earlier CFW revisions, including 3.71, 3.80, and 3.90 M33.

The author notes that users who built themes for the unofficial build will either need to re-package their CTF file or hex edit it at the offset 0–10, replacing DEAD0400 with DEAD0401.

Included in the archive below is both the "full" and "lite" edition of CXMB. If you are simply using CTF format themes created by others, it is recommended to install the latter.

347w ago - Konami today announced that Castlevania Judgment, the first Castlevania title in the fighting game genre, is currently in development exclusively for Wii. Castlevania Judgment bridges the past with the present as it pits several generations of the Belmont clan against a host of characters that span the franchise's 22-year history.

"We wanted to take this addition to the signature Konami franchise in a direction that really sets it apart from the previous Castlevania titles in the series," said Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami. "The Wii Remote and Nunchuk capabilities, along with the iconic characters, make this game the ideal entry point into the fighting game genre. This combination is certain to thrill old and new fans of the franchise. "

With 3D environments rendered on Wii, players can choose sides in an epic battle of good versus evil using iconic Castlevania characters designed by famed manga artist Takeshi Obata. Using the motion-sensing controls of the Nunchuk and Wii Remote, players can slash, stab and whip their way across a variety of stages and environmental elements with various surrounding objects as weapons.

Select characters can also set traps and make use of monsters on the field to achieve victory in a clash of epic proportions. As an added bonus, players...

Not surprisingly, a number of you have posed questions both here and on other forums.

Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions:

Will voice-messaging/private chat be featured in 2.40 as well? If not, can we expect to see this feature added in the future?

We are evaluating the opportunity to offer voice chat, but for this update, we wanted to focus on text messaging as the key priority for communications that our users have asked for.

Can you use the web browser in game?

No, you must exit the game before browsing the internet.

Will In-Game XMB come up during playback of PS2 games, Blu-Ray discs, and DVDs?

The XMB is an exclusive feature for PS3 game titles. Accessing the XMB during gameplay was the top request from our users, which we focused on for this update. However, we continually engage PS3 owners for feedback and will evaluate...
