Videos: Nintendo Wii WODE Demos, WODE Review Coming 300°
October 14, 2009 // 5:15 am - A few weeks ago we announced news of the new Nintendo Wii WODE alongside the WODE Jukebox.

Today we have a few videos of the WODE in action. The first is from the Defcon1 demonstration of WODE loading and playing GameCube games from a USB HDD (NTFS formatted).

The second video below demonstrates "The Impossible Mission" where the WODE demo loads Metroid Prime Trilogy from an NTFS game image.

Nintendo Wii DevKitPPC Release 18 Final is Now Available 50°
October 10, 2009 // 9:16 pm - Today shagkur and wntrmute have released DevKitPPC rev18 and libogc 1.8.0 along with libfat 1.0.5.

DevKitPPC is a port of the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) and includes a C (gcc) and C++ compiler (g++), a debugger (gdb) and associated utilities, with the architecture "powerpc-eabi".

Nintendo Wii D2CKey and D2Pro Mod-Chip Source Code Available 400°
October 4, 2009 // 2:54 am - This weekend d2project has made available the source code for two Nintendo Wii mod-chips, namely the D2CKey and D2Pro Mod-Chip.

To quote: "This is the official open source repository for d2ckey and d2pro. VHDL, MN102 drivecode, and Gamecube configuration / update discs is hosted here.

All code is licensed under GPL v3. If you are interested in contributing to this or similar projects please contact the project owner."

BannerBomb v2 Alpha for Nintendo Wii Firmware 4.2 is Available 100°
October 1, 2009 // 6:23 pm - Comex released today BannerBomb v2 for the Wii System Menu 4.2. From what I have read, it works great on 4.2 E/U Firmware. But give a try for yourself and let us know your experience with it.

Wii System Menu 4.2 Released, Deletes and Blocks Homebrew 550°
September 29, 2009 // 1:54 am - It appears Nintendo has released another Wii System Menu update today to version 4.2.

Like previous updates, this latest revision will both delete and block Wii homebrew... and in some cases destroy consoles, so be aware of this before updating your console.

It's also a mandatory update in order to access the Wii Shop Channel.
