Review: Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard for PS3 50°
March 9, 2009 // 8:44 pm - Who is Matt Hazard? This is a question that the majority of the gaming populace is going to inquire when they first get a glimpse at Eat Lead.

According to the front of the box this is his return to gaming, and unless you have been keeping tabs on the parody that publisher D3 has been creating with this title things could get confusing.

Eat Lead is a videogame that attempts to poke fun at the clichés of gaming while telling the story of a washed-up gaming legend that is finally getting a chance to make a comeback. What follows is a mess of poor game design, selective...

PowerMad Review of Killzone 2 Exclusively for the PlayStation 3 400°
March 2, 2009 // 10:43 pm - Now that I don't have a 13-minute limit of a video I can fully explain how great Killzone 2 is. The graphics to Killzone 2 are amazing to say the very least.

Right away you are dropped off at a area that has some of the best water physics and visuals I have ever personally seen.

This is coming from a man who has played Crysis on a full 1080P monitor with the graphics all the way up. As well as Metal Gear Solid 4 in the same way.

You can search high and low but will never find a game at this current time that...

PowerMad Review of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for PS3 400°
March 1, 2009 // 9:19 pm - This is Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection, and if you're a casual or retro gamer you need to go pick this one up.

Instead of trying to make great graphics and releasing a entirely new game which no one is going to remember. Sega decided to put over 40 of the games from their most popular console.

You get a few arcade titles and some videos about the makings of SUGC. But besides that nothing is really new.

The game has trophies/achievements, and is a great addition to any gamers. If you grew up with a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, and want a few nostalgic moments,...

Review: Killzone 2 for PS3 - The Ultimate Shooter Experience 100°
February 28, 2009 // 10:29 pm - After years in the making, an insurmountable amount of hype and negativity, positivity and pessimism, it's finally here. It's been a long and hard battle for Guerrilla Games (GG) these past few years.

Having to try and match up to the massive expectations of the community. Mine were also huge, so the question is, how has Killzone 2 fared against them?

To get a sense of what the sequel has achieved, I'll start with the original Killzone, a game that never quite grabbed me in the way I'd hoped. Sure, it had impressive visual and artistic appeal, a fairly decent...

PowerMad Review of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for PS3 500°
February 13, 2009 // 12:57 pm - This is Uncharted Drake's fortune for the PlayStation 3 gaming console. I just want to tell you in advance, that no matter what anyone says, if you are in the recommendations below BUY, THIS, GAME!

Uncharted is one of the best games you can get the PlayStation 3, it reminds me of Metal Gear Solid 4, Tomb Raider, and Jak & Daxter. So as you can see if you had to pick a from a combination of awesomeness, chances are you would end up with Uncharted.

But Uncharted is much more then just a cheesy knock off of those 3 games. The storyline (although reminds me of Jak & Daxter)...

Edge Magazine Gets Edged Out With Killzone 2 Review for PS3 100°
February 7, 2009 // 10:07 pm - Edge was always a magazine I like reading no matter what kind of reviews they dish out, their perspectives are so well written that it's pretty easy to negate everything else that they offer.

Did their Killzone 2 review push everyone against them, although I do not quite agree with the them, since they have given both Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 a 9 and 10 respectively.

The point is not about justification in an opinion but maintaining a minimum level of consistency and fairness with all their reviews which is a rather impossible task to achieve with the enormous amount...

Video: X-Play Killzone 2 Review for the Sony PlayStation 3 50°
February 2, 2009 // 11:07 pm - Check out the awesome video below courtesy of G4TV's X-Play, who has given Killzone 2 a 5 out of 5 rating! To quote:

Some shooters try to hang a deep and meaningful story on their shootouts, and more often than not the plot twists end up either completely forgotten or way confusing. Not Killzone 2. This down the barrel look at life knows exactly why you're here. These Helghast have harried you for long enough.

It is time for them to be the home team. As ISA Sergeant Sevchenko, you will lead an invasion of the hazy Helghast home world, Helghan. After watching about...

Review: Argon 2 Fourth Generation Chip for the Nintendo Wii 50°
February 1, 2009 // 12:11 am - Recently Team InFeCtuS has launched their new 4th Generation Mod-chip for the Nintendo Wii console.

The Argon 2 is both updatable via Internet and solderless, and also capable of running Wii homebrew software available at

Today we review the Argon 2 drive enhancement chip for the Wii.

I will start with my first impression of the chip itself. In size it is just a fraction larger that the infectus chip, which is not bad at all considering it has an integrated official wiiclip built in.
