To quote: In the third part of the motion controller Blog series, Richard Marks and Anton Mikhailov break down their E3 on-stage demo in more detail.

From plasma whips and drawing, to abstract domino snakes and real time strategy-style games, you'll see some things you're already familiar with, as well as some never before seen applications that didn't quite make the show.

For this week's entry, the team at Bigbig Studios provides details as to the wild vehicles players will get to drive in the game, including two new snow-specific machines.

Of course with vehicles of the same type, what good is having the same looking vehicle as everyone else? The team also shows the wide variety of customization options available for every type of vehicle from parts, to accessories, to stickers.

286w ago - Sony's Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell is back with the second part of the PS3 Motion Controller R&D Interview today.

To quote: Last week, we introduced Part I in a series of posts focusing on the recently announced PlayStation motion controller. Senior Researcher, Richard Marks, shed some light on the PlayStation Eye's camera technology and how the motion controller works.

We know you guys are eager to learn more, so this week we're talking to Anton Mikhailov, a software engineer (and right hand man to Richard Marks) in SCEA's Research & Development department. You may recognize Anton from the motion controller demonstration at this year's E3 presentation.

Anton was gracious enough to break down the new controller's PVC origins and some of the possible applications for this new technology. Check out the video below for more details.

We know you probably have a lot of questions, so we sat down with Richard Marks and Anton Mikhailov, two of the main brains behind the new controller, to get some insight on the E3 demo, the back-story behind development, and the future of this new technology.

Today, you'll get an inside look at our R&D team–more specifically, who they are, what they do and how they took camera technology to the next level with the new controller. Check out the video below.

315w ago - The Escape From City 17 short film series is an adaptation based on the Half Life computer game saga by Valve Corporation.

Originally envisioned as a project to test out numerous post production techniques, as well as a spec commercial, it ballooned into a multi-part series.

Filmed guerilla style with no money, no time, no crew, no script, the first two episodes were made from beginning to end on a budget of $500.

I thought the video was pretty cool, and that those who like half-life would like these videos.
