September 8, 2009 // 3:50 pm - Today NIS America, Inc's PR/Marketing Coordinator Nao Zook has announced that Disgaea 2 is now shiping, and that other classic PSP titles will be re-releasing soon.

To quote: It's been a while! I hope you guys are all doing well. Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days for PSP has been shipped to retail stores nationwide today, September 8th!

Capcom to Announce New Titles at Tokyo Game Show 2009 50°
August 26, 2009 // 9:36 pm - The Tokyo Game Show is the biggest gaming convention in Japan. Many Japanese companies use it as an opportunity it to give the latest updates on their video games in addition to making new game announcements.

Capcom is already teasing what they will be revealing at Tokyo Game Show 2009, to quote:

"Hard at work on Tokyo Game Show plans. Several new games to be announced in Japan, lots of new content for LP2, TvC, DR2. Exciting!"

So it looks like they may be unveiling new games at the convention in addition to showing new content for Dead Rising 2, Lost...

Sony Strikes Taiwanese Development Deal for PS3 and PSP Titles 200°
July 6, 2009 // 9:10 pm - Sony has struck a deal with Asian game developers to bolster the platform holder's array of PSP and PS3 titles.

Sony Computer Entertainment Asia signed the deal with six developers, such as Taiwanese groups XPEC Entertainment and Yeck Entertainment.

SCE Asia has also opened up its proprietary PlayStation platform to Taiwanese group SOGA Interactive - the team currently developing Stephen Chow's-Kung Fu Hustle, scheduled to be released this winter.

Sony Ditches UMD, Classic Titles to See Digital Re-Release 200°
April 29, 2009 // 8:46 pm - Sony's rumored plans for a new PSP dubbed the PSP Go! may also usher in a new wave of games becoming digital downloads for the device.

EA Releases DRM De-Authorization Tool for SecuROM Titles 200°
March 31, 2009 // 8:23 pm - As many know, some EA PC games only allow the owner to install the game on five machines.

Back in December, EA released a Spore De-Authorization Tool which allowed users to switch these five authorizations around between machines.

GDC '09: Sony Upgrades PhyreEngine, Reveals Four New Titles 100°
March 23, 2009 // 9:54 pm - Sony announced earlier that they upgraded their cross platform engine, the PhyreEngine, to version 2.40.

To quote: New features included 'foliage rendering', which allows for more ultra-realistic trees and leaves, best seen in the PSN exclusive title, Flower.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to Exceed All FPS Titles This Year? 100°
March 12, 2009 // 10:00 pm - Activision is the biggest publisher in the industry topping even gaming giant EA since there merge with Blizzard; creators of the magnificent World of Warcraft.

While I'm sure there are millions of gamers who know about World of Warcraft, they also were behind the excellent Diablo & Starcraft which have many gamers still rattling their names off here and there. Activision was behind Call of Duty, Guitar Hero (first two) & Quake.
