339w ago - With LittleBigPlanet becoming the new title to watch out for this fall it only makes sense to see electronic retails scrambling to secure all sorts of promotional giveaway with their copies of the game.

We have seen exclusive trailers from retailers such as Amazon, Wall-mart, and an exclusive Kratos Sackboy kit, but now we have found something equally as good.

Play.com is giving away an exclusive Nariko Sackgirl character with your order of LittleBigPlanet. Nariko who the hell is that? You might remember her from Heavenly Sword if you got the chance to play the title, but otherwise you can check out her sackgirl form below.

I have to say that the sword + red hair combo makes this sackgirl look pretty Bad As$.

340w ago - Thanks to Evander from NeoGAF, we have some details regarding the popular Kratos sackboy costume for LittleBigPlanet. First of all, the card is given to you immediately when you preorder in-store.

According the GameStop Web site, if you preordered online or you arranged for in-store pickup, your code will be e-mailed to you one week before the game ships. The code must also be redeemed by January 8th, 2009.

Lastly, like PSN games, each code will be associated with a PSN account -- which "allows download of the LittleBigPlanet in-game costume on 5 PS3 systems per account." Too bad you don't get five pouches to share with your friends, huh? To quote:

"Upon receiving your game, follow these instructions closely to download your new costume:

1. Open an account on the PLAYSTATION Network (or use an existing account) on your PS3.
2. From the PLAYSTATION Network icon on the Xross Media Bar, select 'Account Management'.
3. Enter 'Transaction Management'.
4. Select 'Redeem PLAYSTATION Network Card or Promotion Code'.
5. Enter promotion code. Please note that the promotion code is case sensitive and must be entered exactly as displayed.

Once the promtional code has been entered correctly click continue. Once you accept the terms you will be taken...

Confirmed: LittleBigPlanet IS region-free, worldwide content for all!

200°
340w ago - SCE has revealed that the producer of LittleBigPlanet wrongly told journalists that LittleBigPlanet will be region-locked, as previously reported.

Sam_Protagonist (SCE Development) just posted up "This is in fact not the case, and all shared levels in the game will be available worldwide."

To quote: Hi all, as many of you may have heard already in an interview at Leipzig the senior producer for LittleBigPlanet announced that the game is region locked.

This is in fact not the case, and all shared levels in the game will be available worldwide. The confusion arose out of regional differences in how moderation will work as there are different legal rules each region have to play by, and at one point this looked like it may require the game to be independent in each region - however this has been worked around and there will only be one region for the game.... a LittleBigRegion.

Apologies for any confusion over this issue, however I'm pretty sure you're happy with the result.
