Valve Explains Why They Avoid the 'Too Technical' PS3 Console 550°
June 11, 2009 // 3:46 pm - How come we've yet to see Valve develop something for the PS3? Being one of the better game developers out there, you'd think they'd be one of the first to get in line tweaking with the PS3's hardware.

Apparently, that's not the case as they seem to find it too complicated.

Tom Leonard, Valve Game Designer, had this to say when asked about this very issue over at E3:

"The PC and the 360 are just more straightforward. We can focus on what we want to do, which is make game experiences, instead of sweating bullets over obscure architectural decisions...

Nintendo Rejected Project Natal Motion-Sensing Technology 400°

Nanotech Researchers Create 'Fifth Dimension' Data Storage 300°
May 28, 2009 // 10:20 pm - A team of researchers from an Australian university has developed a new DVD technology that could someday boost disc capacity by 10,000 times beyond today's standard 4.7GB DVDs, according to a study published in the Nature journal.

Has Microsoft's XBox 360 Console Run Out of Technical Steam? 550°
April 22, 2009 // 8:18 pm - Whenever the issue of the Xbox 360 running out of technical steam is risen, you always get the same answer, "there's still more it can do", no offence but this excuse is getting old pretty quickly.

Is there really any thing left in the Xbox 360, hardware wise? I really don't think so.

It's been 3 years and still there are less than a handful of games that have pushed the visual boat that much farther, notably... Gears of War and Gears of War 2, what else has really brought outstanding graphics to the table? Halo 3?

Bilkent Tech to Make DVDs with 1,000 Times More Capacity 300°
