January 27, 2010 // 12:34 pm - I just started to take a look at Folding@Home / Life with PlayStation as part of my PS3 research. There are several little details which are pretty interesting...

One thing which got me interested, is that the "game" has more permissions than any other game or application. Normal games do not have access to the root of /dev_hdd0/ but F@H has.

It can read, write and execute which was found out as it creates a folder called /cntlnk/ in /dev_hdd0/.

Video: Leaked XBox 360 Footage of Half-Life 2 on Project Natal 500°
December 30, 2009 // 5:40 am - Below is a video from (linked above) of what appears to be leaked XBox 360 footage of Half-Life 2 being played on Microsoft's upcoming system Project Natal.

It comes courtesy of nutcrackr via YouTube, as it seems someone secretly leaked out the clip.

This is most likely early footage of the beta testing for a FPS game on the Natal and of course, there is no confirmed source where the video came from so take it as you like.

Sony: PS2 Turns Nine Years Old, System's Life Cycle to Continue 500°

The slimline PlayStation 2 console, introduced in 2004, still remains available on store shelves for a retail price of $99.

Sony's Life With PlayStation Gets 'World Heritage' Channel Added 100°
August 12, 2009 // 7:45 pm - Today Sony has updated Life with PlayStation by adding a completely new channel titled 'World Heritage' to it.

It's a simple update, as the channel includes information from various Web sites (including Wikipedia) from multiple areas around the world.

Valve Researching Sign Language for Use in Half-Life 2: Episode 3 100°
August 8, 2009 // 1:00 pm - Valve's Gabe Newell appears to have recently conducted a focus group with deaf individuals in order to learn more about sign language and how it can be applied to games, notably the upcoming Half-Life 2: Episode 3.

Why? To help develop Alyx's character, and further the animation technology implemented in the Half-Life games.
