European PSN Game Store Updates for July 13, 2011 50°
190w ago - SCEE's Ross McGrath is here with this weeks European PlayStation Store updates today, as follows:

Dead Nation is now available to try before you buy, in case you were still on the fence, and we've also got a demo for PixelJunk Shooter 2, so you can now give that a whirl with no money down.

There's also some pretty awesome DLC coming today in the form of a new case for LA Noire, and the 'anticipated for as long as I can remember and incredibly awesome' Final Fantasy VII character costumes for LBP2!

A quiet one this week then, sorry about that. Hopefully there are some bits and pieces for you here and now, and if not you can save your pennies for the release of Limbo on the 20th.

I'll be around for comments from tomorrow morning as I'm working on some promotions for you lovely people this afternoon, but since it's a quiet week for you all, hand on heart I'll make time to respond to lots of your questions. See you later!

Catherine Demo by Atlus Hits PlayStation Network Tomorrow

Catherine Demo by Atlus Hits PlayStation Network Tomorrow 250°
190w ago - Atlus Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has announced today that the Catherine demo is hitting PlayStation Network tomorrow.

To quote: We're so excited to reveal that tomorrow (7/12), we'll be releasing a demo for our upcoming game that explores of the psychology and horror of relationships, commitment, and love–Catherine.

What exactly is the game's story? What kind of play style can you look forward to? All such questions and likely many more will be answered with the demo. And all you have to do is download it and play!

The demo will take you through the opening hour or so of the game, learning about Vincent (the protagonist) and his life. Catherine is all about its story and characters; the fact that you'll meet Vincent, his girlfriend, and his close circle of buddies in your short time with the demo should give you a great idea of what to expect in the full game.

And then there are the nightmares... You'll have to contend with a couple of those. The experience should give you an idea of just how much stress Vincent deals with throughout the game. And just how much fun you're in store for if you opt to pick a copy up.

We're also thrilled to start teasing glimpses of the finished goodies to be found inside the limited...

Tales From Space: About a Blob New Co-op Map Pack Hits PSN

Tales From Space: About a Blob New Co-op Map Pack Hits PSN 50°
191w ago - DrinkBox Studios CTO & Designer Chris Harvey has announced today news of a new Tales From Space: About a Blob Co-op Map Pack hitting PSN soon.

To quote: Greetings once again, opaque and bipedal earthlings! It's been awhile since I, Orange Blob, have been in touch. You may remember me from my PSN game Tales from Space: About a Blob, where I grew and consumed your world and all its inhabitants.

I've been away recently, you see, visiting a strange and unusual planet in a not-too-distant solar system. I was accompanied by my good friend Green Blob. It's nice to travel with friends, although Green Blob sometimes snores.

Exploring an alien planet is not for the faint of heart. Throughout our adventures, we were often confronted by tricky alien contraptions that required BOTH of us to get past. All this puzzle solving leaves a Blob feeling pretty hungry. Luckily, we were able to sample some local delicacies, i.e. the alien life-forms. They taste exactly like chicken.

Once again, the folks over at DrinkBox Studios have been kind enough to re-create our adventures in video-game form. If you have a friend nearby, toss them a controller and see if you can put your brains together to solve these wacky alien puzzles!

The new...
