Video: First Look at Sony's New PSP Go Console

Video: First Look at Sony's New PSP Go Console 500°
297w ago - We have already seen the PSP Go specifications and accessories, so today CNET's David Carnoy has shared a hands-on PSP Go video (embed currently isn't compatible).

To quote: We don't have anything new or earth-shattering to report other than to say we like the smaller design, and the PSP Go does feel pretty good resting in your hands.

Oh, and we also have some video shot with a Flip UltraHD (sorry the tight shots aren't sharper but the Flip just isn't good at close-ups).

The PSP Go ($250) is set for release this October.

Sony Finally Finds Smart Marketing for the PlayStation Portable

Sony Finally Finds Smart Marketing for the PlayStation Portable 250°
297w ago - It appears the idea of console exclusives is over with the recent announcement of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for PlayStation Portable.

The Nintendo DS version has been out on the market since March 17, 2009, plenty of time for the Grand Theft Auto fanatic to either purchase the game for the DS or go and buy a Nintendo DS just so it could be played.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is the third GTA title to release on the PlayStation Portable after GTA: Liberty City Stories and GTA: Vice City Stories. It makes sense on a business level for Sony to start pushing for more titles on the PlayStation Portable, and even more so the upcoming PSP Go.

Sony needs to properly support the PSP Go from launch. They cannot afford to release the new PSP and leave it on the market for a couple months before properly supporting it. This is primarily because of the PSP Go's lack of UMD drive.

Granted, gamers could use the PlayStation Store to download PSOne Classics or even some older PSP titles onto the PSP Go, but where will the money be at? The new downloadable titles. With Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars releasing around the same time, there is a title that will help sell the PSP Go for early...

Sony: PlayStation Cloud 'Mockup' is Pure Conjecture

Sony: PlayStation Cloud 'Mockup' is Pure Conjecture 250°
297w ago - Today Sony has debunked the recent PlayStation Cloud rumor via IGN.

For those unaware, PlayStation Cloud was reported to be a PlayStation Network portal that collects your saves, stats, and trophies for the world to see where the original poster known as GiantEnemyCrab included a screenshot (below) with the following details, to quote:

"I have recently talked to a very trusted source (he works at Sony) and he told me about PlayStation Cloud. If you don't believe me then I suggest you scroll down because I have something that can prove to you I'm not lying. It was given to me by my source.

I'm not going to say from who because I promised not to say but here are some of the things I know about PlayStation Cloud.

PlayStation Cloud is like your PlayStation Network portal. It will have all your data and info like.

• Save game data
• PlayStation Home data
• PlayStation Network Game Statistics
• Registered hardware and software
• In-game Screenshots
• Video captured using the Youtube uploading feature

You can access your save...
