Video: Sega Unveils Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode I 250°
February 4, 2010 // 10:56 am - Sega has unveiled Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I, previously Project Needlemouse, on Gamespot (linked above) which will be downloadable on Sony's PS3, Microsoft's XBox 360 and the Nintendo Wii console.

While the game retains the classic 2D gameplay that made the series great, Sonic 4 will include 3D visuals, and be digitally released over Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, WiiWare and the iPhone.

Sega Considers Shenmue III Options, Trade Exclusivity for Funds 500°
February 1, 2010 // 3:33 pm - Speaking with Japanese weekly Famitsu, Sega stated they would consider developing Shenmue III exclusively for one platform, if a platform holder was willing to help fund a third title in the cult-hit series.

Sega knows that fans want to see a new title emerge, but are apparently mindful of the fact that previous games didn't sell well - that said, they seem keen to get a new game made anyway.

Sega Announces Bayonetta Special Edition for PS3 and XBox 360 200°
November 10, 2009 // 11:46 pm - Today Sega Europe has announced news of a Bayonetta Special Edition (pictured below) coming on January 8, 2010 to both Sony's PS3 and Microsoft's XBox 360 consoles.

To quote: I'm very pleased to announce that a special edition of our forthcoming game Bayonetta will be available at launch on January 8th.

Available to gamers in the UK, France, Spain and Australia the special edition is presented in a nice slipcase and includes a copy of the game, a lovely artbook and game soundtrack.

Sega Classics Hit PSN Today with the Launch of PSPgo 50°

Sega Leak Reveals PSN to Bring PS2 & DreamCast Games to PS3 700°
September 22, 2009 // 4:09 pm - According to Edge Online (linked above), Sega has leaked a confidential document (removed now) of a meeting with SCEA held in August by accidently uploading it to their public FTP site.

Among other things, the document states a March 2010 release for Sony's new Motion Controller in Japan with the ambition of selling 4-5 million units world-wide. No Prices or Bundles are mentioned though, yet.

Sega: Valkyria Chronicles Series Could Return to PlayStation 3 250°
September 21, 2009 // 1:46 am - Valkyria Chronicles is one of the best exclusive games on the PlayStation 3. For that reason, many fans were upset to learn that Valkyria Chronicles II is only coming to the PSP.

Sega isn't completely shutting down the door to another Valkyria Chronicles game for the PlayStation 3 just yet, however.
