January 29, 2010 // 9:45 pm - Last week we posted some older PS3 Debug Firmware updates for those with PS3 Test units, and today we're happy to report that PS3 Debug Firmware version 3.10 is now available.

Courtesy of Garfield123 (awarded a 6-Month Premium Membership) comes PlayStation 3 Debug Firmware 3.10, which includes several new features (detailed below) and miscellaneous bug fixes.

PS3 Firmware Update 3.0: Speed Test, PS3 Slim Fix & Extras 550°
September 1, 2009 // 1:54 am - Even with the PS3 Firmware 3.0 official full changelog available, it appears there are some previously unmentioned extras surfacing in the update.

To begin, PSInsider (linked above) reports that an integrated connection speed test is now included... as pictured below.

To quote: "The first I noticed is a speedtest in the connection test. So next time you turn on your ps3, you can find what your ps3 is pulling down, and the upload speed too."

PS3 Debug Firmware 2.70 and 2.80 Leaked! 400°
July 1, 2009 // 2:03 am - We had a feeling it wouldn't be too long until the counterpart of the recently released PS3 Firmware 2.80 (Retail) was also available for PS3 Debug / PS3 Test users.

Those interested can grab them below, however, at this time we don't have a changelog from the leaks... should they surface though we will add it to the comments below.

PS3 Debug Firmware 2.42 Leaked, PS3 TEST Console for Sale! 350°
February 13, 2009 // 12:40 pm - Just about a week ago PS3 Debug Firmware 2.52 surfaced, and today a slightly older version 2.42 has also leaked to the Internet. Needless to say, if you are already on 2.52 Debug Firmware then 2.42 is only useful for collectors at this point.

Old But New News: PS3 Debug Firmware 2.30 Leaked! 300°
June 12, 2008 // 4:02 pm - This is a few days old, but since nobody submitted it here goes: Recently PS3 Debug Firmware Update v2.30 was posted on the Spanish Web site Elotrolado linked above.

The file size is 110 MB (115,403,104 bytes), and it is available from our PS3 Debug Firmware section or download it linked below, however, unless you own a PS3 Debug/TEST console the most it will allow you to do is use XVISTAMAN2005's Install Debug Firmware on a Retail PS3...

Video: A Peek At PS3 TEST Firmware 2.40! 50°
June 8, 2008 // 1:43 am - The retail counterpart is rumored to be released during mid to late June, however, recently we had a chance to check out PS3 Debug/TEST Firmware v2.40 (116 MB - 122,268,311 bytes).

Below is a video of it in action, displaying some of the new features. As expected, we can confirm from 2.40 onwards, the system software can be called any time during the gameplay. It appears the in-game XMB does not work while playing PS2 titles, probably the same with PS1 titles as well although we didn't have a PS1 game handy to try.

The video is slightly better quality than the previous...
