Video: QBert Rebooted is Coming to PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita

Video: QBert Rebooted is Coming to PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita 850°
4w ago - LOOT Entertainment Product Manager Jason Sorensen announced today that QBert Rebooted is coming to PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita platforms with a video trailer below.

To quote: Want to play one of the most well-known, bestselling games in the history of gaming? Q*Bert is back - for your PS4, PS3 and Vita.

The complete, original version of Q*Bert is only half of the equation. Gonzo Games, Sideline Amusements, Games Production Company, and we here at LOOT Entertainment are also bringing to PlayStation a completely reimagined Q*Bert game: Q*Bert Rebooted.

To keep it short and sweet: you get two great Q*Bert games (on all three PlayStation platforms) for the price of one.

So: how do you take such a classically perfect game design and successfully modernize it?

Instead of cubes, Q*Bert Rebooted features hexagons. That may not sound like a game-changer, but it is; suddenly, you get some really interesting level designs, especially later in the game.

In addition, there are new features, such as time and score challenges, new enemies with their own unique behaviors, new playable characters, power-ups, traps, and gem-collecting. Q*Bert Rebooted is the equivalent of your old backyard...

Video: Small Radios Big Televisions PS4 is Coming to PlayStation 4 550°
4w ago - Sony Developer Owen Deery shared a PS4 video today announcing that Small Radios Big Televisions is coming to PlayStation 4.

Below are the details, to quote: Small Radios Big Televisions is a game I've been working on since last summer. It's built out of my love for games, analog mechanicals, and music. I'm also proud to tell you that it will be coming to PS4.

The game is about exploration, finding old data cassettes strewn through the insides of old factories, and discovering the worlds you find inside. The aim is to make an experience that borrows some of the "softness" of analog media and put that into a modern console title.

In Small Radios Big Televisions your main goal is to find cassettes and slam 'em into your tape deck. Your tape deck is different, though. Instead of just playing audio, these tapes contain entirely different worlds for you to explore.

This idea came about when I was thinking (in light of the recent virtual reality explosion), "What if you could put on a virtual reality album the same way you do with a music album, or a movie?"

The tapes in the game are tapes for a reason, too. Unlike a compact disc or a memory card the magnetic tape inside a cassette can easily...

Video: Noir Horror Game White Night Coming to PS4 on March 3rd 250°
4w ago - OSome Studio Creative Director and Co-Founder Ronan Coiffec announced today alongside a PS4 video trailer that Noir horror game White Night is coming to PlayStation 4 on March 3rd with details below.

To quote: Starting OSome Studio was a pretty frightening adventure in the beginning. I met Domenico Albani and Mathieu Fremont while employed together at Eden Games, where we worked on the fifth instalment of Alone in the Dark.

We all went our separate ways after that project finished, picking up experience at other studios, but there was always the feeling of "what if" in the back of our minds.

After a few more years of exhausting ourselves on blockbuster titles, the three of us took a step back and realized we each wanted to do something that would let loose our creativities and replenish our passions.

OSome Studio was founded to produce original, refreshing games with powerful and immersive environments. We didn't have much of a budget back then, but we shared a common vision for an original gaming experience and the will to make it a reality. It wouldn't be a big project, but it would be ours to own.

White Night is the product of that dream. Set in Boston in the 1930s, White Night is...

Apotheon Coming to PlayStation 4 February 3rd, Free for PS Plus

Apotheon Coming to PlayStation 4 February 3rd, Free for PS Plus 1000°
5w ago - Alientrap's Lee Vermeulen announced today that Apotheon is coming to PlayStation 4 on February 3rd, and will be free for PS Plus subscribers!

Below are the details, to quote: So in our last post we said that Apotheon would be launching sometime in January. Turns out we were off by a few days. Apotheon will actually be launching on February 3rd, 2015. But, we've got a really good excuse!

The reason for the short delay is because Apotheon will also be featured as part of Playstation Plus, and will be free for the month of February to all Playstation Plus subscribers for PS4! Check out our new launch trailer showing off a bit of our voice acting talent.

While sorting out all the paperwork involved with this deal, we've had a bit of extra time to do even more optimizations and playtesting to polish off the last few bugs. With the help of Sickhead Games doing the PS4 version, we're very happy with how the game has shaped up, and are very excited to finally release it to the world!

Back when we first started development in 2012, our original aspirations were much different. Apotheon actually started life as a sci-fi open world game where the player could sneak around a giant space station and cause trouble...
