Killzone 2 DLC 'Steel & Titanium' Map Pack for PS3 Revealed

Killzone 2 DLC 'Steel & Titanium' Map Pack for PS3 Revealed 50°
308w ago - As a follow-up to the initial Killzone 2 DLC announcement, the details have now been revealed as follows:

It's a map pack entitled Steel & Titanium. There will be two new maps in the pack; the first will be on the ISA flagship the New Sun (vertical play), and a map featuring 2 Helghan trains running right next to each other with environmental gotchas if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Both are obviously ripped out of the single player missions; nevertheless, they sound fun.

Time-frame is end of April; no price announced but that doesn't mean it's free...

Oh yes, Guerrilla is working on map pack 2 already and the word to think about is "Retro."

New Resident Evil 5 DLC Revealed, Multiplayer Modes Added 200°
312w ago - Capcom officially announced today that they will be adding new head to head multiplayer modes to Resident Evil 5 after the game is launched.

There will be two modes, the first (Slayer's Rule) is a point based system where you compete to kill the most Majinis while the second (Survivor's Rule) has you trying to kill eatch other.

The modes will allow you to play mano e mano or paired up with a friend against two enemies and will set you back $4.99 for the PSN version or 400 MS points for the Xbox 360 version. While it does seem like something that should have shipped with the game I'm glad Capcom isn't charging a lot for the new features.

Need for Speed World Online Interface is Revealed

Need for Speed World Online Interface is Revealed 50°
314w ago - The official Need for Speed blog (linked above) has been updated with a work-in-progress image of the user interface in Electronic Arts' upcoming action-racing game, Need for Speed World Online. To quote:

When he'd sent the screen I asked him to give me a bit more information about what we're looking at and he was happy to help out:

"Key to the concept of NFS World Online is the user interface which has been built from the ground up to take advantage of the PC architecture. Instead of a traditional console view of a game, we're using a user-selectable gadget interface designed specifically for the PC.

The system allows the gamer to choose which components of the interface they want to add to their game. The gadgets are really flexible and offer a wide range of display options: docked/undocked, floating in the game window or just sitting outside of the game space.

A lot of gamers now have more than one monitor so you could keep the game window entirely clean and then have all the gadgets sit in the other monitor. We think it's about time PC gamers had games that allowed them to arrange their information their way."

The downloadable free-to-play title is being co-developed by EA Black Box and EA Singapore. You can find out more about the MMORG in this Q&A...
