Call of Duty: World at War for PlayStation 3 Savegame Bug Found?

Call of Duty: World at War for PlayStation 3 Savegame Bug Found? 100°
323w ago - Dutch site PS3Life (linked above) is reporting that a savegame bug in Call of Duty: World at War has been found which can leave your savegame unreadable and corrupt. The bug is only said to happen in the single player campaign, and occurs in the levels where you play as a Russian soldier.

To quote, roughly translated: Call of Duty: World at War is without doubt the most played PS3 game this year-end, though many people readily admit that they left full singleplayer miss.

Fortunately, because now we get more and more reports of a bug in the singleplayer campaign, which in charge of your save game gives an error message that says you savegame unreadable, and you then again at the start of the current set of levels set.

This bug occurs in the levels where you play with the Russian soldier, NOT in the first levels with the American soldier!

PS3life would ever know how many gamers who played the singleplayer here affected by this. Have you bought the game, and does this happen to you? Comment below!

BBC Study Finds 40 Percent of MMORPG Gamers Are Bi-Females

BBC Study Finds 40 Percent of MMORPG Gamers Are Bi-Females 50°
323w ago - The BBC reports that a study has found an unusually high level of bisexuality among women who play online MMO's. The study looked at 2,400 members of the population who played Everquest II.

To quote: I think a lot of our stereotypes are based on the way computer games have been, rather than where they're going.

The pressure to conform to traditional gender roles might mean that some women are put off activities seen as "masculine", whereas women who reject traditional gender roles might be more likely to play MMOs such as EverQuest II.

Perhaps in support of this the survey revealed an unusually high level of bisexuality among the women who took part in the study - over five times higher than the general population.

UnAnnounced Classic Sega Games Coming to PSN and XBLA

UnAnnounced Classic Sega Games Coming to PSN and XBLA 50°
323w ago - Several unannounced SEGA-made games recently popped up on the Entertainment Software Rating Board's (ESRB) Web site.

Apparently the publisher is using the Wii's Virtual Console as a sort of test bed as the listed titles have already released on Nintendo's System (not to mention the fact that they're also classic games).

Now coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network are Gunstar Heroes, Phantasy Star II, Comix Zone and Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

There's no indication of a release date for any of the titles, but as soon as we get wind of one, we'll let you know.

MLB 09 The Show - Hear Yourself Cheer In-Game on PlayStation 3

MLB 09 The Show - Hear Yourself Cheer In-Game on PlayStation 3 200°
324w ago - Today Public Relations Manager Alex Armour announced the following news:

MLB 09 The Show is officially announced today, ready to arrive this coming Spring on the PS3, PSP, and PS2. As the market leader in the baseball category, the team did not want to rest on their laurels and churn out a lackluster effort.

For this year, the team is including a number of new features and visual detail to once again bring the best and most realistic sports gaming experience available.

Last year we allowed players to import their own music from the PS3 hard drive so they could listen in game. Now, the team has gone a step further by creating the "My MLB Music" feature. This will allow players to use the in-game music editor to create snipits of music that can be saved and used as customized walk up music for their favorite players.

Additionally, have you ever screamed at your TV at a bad (or good) play when engaged in a sports game? Well now your voice can be heard IN THE GAME by allowing users to record their own fan chants and yells and integrate them seamlessly into the ambient crowd noise. It'll sound like you're really there.

Of course the team is all over the details and as the leading baseball game simulator out there, how could they not? Transitional lighting...

Countdown: The Top 10 Video Games of 2008

Countdown: The Top 10 Video Games of 2008 650°
324w ago - This year brought many games with high profile ones such as Grand Theft Auto IV and Gears of War 2. It was not until late into the year we began to see more bigger titles coming out for the holidays.

It all started in early September with Spore, Crysis Warhead, and Rock Band 2. LucasArts' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed didn't quite impress its critics but sales were good enough.

With the surprise success of The Witcher; released back in 2007, Atari released a new version dubbed The Witcher: The Enhanced Edition with new features and bug-less. EA's highly anticipated MMORPG Warhammer Online: The Age of Reckoning was released in mid-September for those who were looking for a different online game to play besides Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures and World of Warcraft.

September ending with Gearbox Software's realistic WWII first-person shooter Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway which was one of my favorite games for the year.

October was the big month for games. It seemed like every week had a big title coming out. Dead Space, the horror first-person shooter from EA hit the spot for those who enjoyed blasting monsters and watching their limbs explode.

Unlike your typical first-person shooter, Dead Space offered some innovative features that kept the game interesting...
