Sony Announces Hohokum: Enter the Fun Fair Coming to PlayStation

Sony Announces Hohokum: Enter the Fun Fair Coming to PlayStation 50°
54w ago - Sony Co-creator Richard Hogg announced today that Hohokum: Enter the Fun Fair is coming to PlayStation platforms with details below.

To quote: At last, we can reveal the Fun Fair to the world! It's the level we've worked on the longest, and its roots can be traced all the way back to the first prototype of the game we showed back in 2011.

Back then, it was a no-fun fair. It was a place of danger, a beautiful and colorful city, but one that was under attack from a mysterious enemy. Bombs rained down on the town and its peaceful citizens. Your job was to collect these hapless denizens and ferry them to an awaiting boat.

Three years have passed and the city is no longer under threat; it has been rebuilt and expanded. The original citizens are back and enjoying more peaceful times... but not quite, as the Fun Fair has come to town!

This is one of the most frantic and hectic places that you will visit. You will be FLUNG at high velocity into dizzying, concentric trajectories by the SPIROGRABBERS!

You will be SCARED BEYOND WITLESS by the terrifying and not at all cute GHOSTLY TRAIN! You will be THOROUGHLY FERRISED by the magnificent FERRIS WHEEL.

...and if you like sushi, prize vegetables, juvenile birds, mythical reptiles, headless horses, and multi-limbed...

Sony Announces Earth Defense Force 2025 is Out Today on PS3 50°
54w ago - Sony Product Manager Kaori Takasue announced that Earth Defense Force 2025 is out today on PS3 with details below.

To quote: Many of you have been waiting a very long time for the release of Earth Defense Force 2025, and I'm proud to say that the game is available for PS3 starting today! Acclaimed Japanese developer Sandlot is back at it again, creating the best EDF experience yet.

Many of you know what makes EDF great, and that's crushing giant insects and destroying everything in sight. But what many of you didn't know is that the Earth Defense Force series started way back in 2003 for PS2, and EDF 2025 is the 7th game in the series.

EDF 2025 takes place eight years after peace from the last attack in 2017. That peace is suddenly shattered when giant, burrowing ant-like creatures burst from the ground and begin attacking the populace. The EDF is called back into action and this is where the fun begins.

So what's new in EDF 2025?

• 80+ missions
• 4-player online multiplayer mode
• Exclusive online multiplayer mode missions
• 700+ weapons
• 4 different character classes, including a sure-to-be-favorite, Wing Diver
• Local Versus Mode

Sony Announces MouseCraft Brings Cheese-Based Puzzling to PS Vita

Sony Announces MouseCraft Brings Cheese-Based Puzzling to PS Vita 50°
55w ago - Curve Studios PR and Marketing Manager Rob Clarke announced today on Sony's blog that MouseCraft brings cheese-based puzzling to PS Vita.

Below are the details, to quote: Hey everyone, Rob from Curve here! It seems like only a few weeks ago I was here talking about our Mega bundle of 2013 games. This week we're very happy to announce something brand new: an indie puzzle game called MouseCraft.

MouseCraft takes some of the most recognizable elements of classic puzzle games and combines them to create something that's completely new and great fun to play, especially on a portable device like PS Vita. The basic gameplay is very simple: Your goal is to lead a group of mice through a machine to find the cheese at the other end of the level.

You don't control the mice directly however, but instead control their environment through the use of many different types of classic 'Tetromino' blocks that can be dropped onto the level. Imagine the careful strategy and planning of a game like Lemmings with the blocks and fast-paced decision making of Tetris, and you've got an idea of how MouseCraft works.

There are over 50 levels in the campaign mode, and as you play the path and methods of getting to the exits becomes more and more complicated, introduce different blocks that can used to...

Moonbite Games Announces Zombeer is Out Today on PS3

Moonbite Games Announces Zombeer is Out Today on PS3 50°
55w ago - Moonbite Games Creative Director Carlos Fernandez announced that Zombeer PS3 is out today on the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

To quote: What kind of game is Zombeer? That's not easy to answer... my favorite description for Zombeer, which launches today on PS3, would be "first-person-survival-horror-comedy-shooter."

When we started the design process, we had a clear vision for Zombeer. We wanted to show a zombie world with funny and crazy stories, full of tributes to our favourites games and feature films. All with gags, parodies, and - most importantly - no rules. The only limit was our indie budget, and that's been a very real limit.

One of our internal goals was to design a coherent game. So if the story is crazy, the graphics, gags, puzzles, quick time events, etc. have to be crazy, too. And of course this philosophy includes the basic gameplay.

In Zombeer, you must keep a high level of Zombeer in your blood. Because if you don't drink enough, the transformation will start; blurred view, a decrease in mental capabilities... yes, like a Monday morning. If you continue without a drink, you'll transform.

But it's not all bad, because if you're a zombie, the rest of the walkers won't attack you, so it's a good way to catch your breath, change positions,...
