Wedbush Morgan: Netflix has partnered with Microsoft 100°
June 2, 2008 // 3:20 pm - Wedbush Morgan Securities has speculated about a possible Netflix deal to stream movies through Xbox 360 consoles.

The conclusion, made by the investment banking firm, came off the back of comments made by Netflix management. If true it would allow the online rental service to stream movies directly into consumer's consoles.

"As we have speculated in the past, we believe that one of Netflix's partners is Microsoft. We arrive at this conclusion based upon Netflix management repeatedly mentioning 'Internet enabled video game consoles'," said a Wedbush Morgan statement....

Confirmed: Home is not part of PS3 Firmware 2.30 update 50°
April 14, 2008 // 3:47 pm - According to a Sony rep, PS3 Firmware 2.30 (that will accompany the launch of the new PlayStation Store) will not contain PlayStation Home despite what rumors suggest.

To quote: Noel Silvia replied on April 14, 2008 at 12:27 pm

Despite what some rumour mongers would like for you to believe, no, Home is NOT a part of this update.

And so the wait continues...

Microsoft warns on Vista update 50°
February 23, 2008 // 2:37 am - Microsoft is warning Windows Vista users that a forthcoming service pack for the operating system may stop some third-party programs working.

The software giant has released a list of programs that may be broken by the SP1 update for Vista.

Most of the software hit by the upgrade are security programs that prevent Windows users falling prey to viruses, trojans and booby-trapped webpages.

The Windows Vista update will be released to the public in mid-March.
