PS3 Slim CECH-2000B 250GB Model Uncovered at FCC Site

PS3 Slim CECH-2000B 250GB Model Uncovered at FCC Site 200°
289w ago - Today we uncovered a second PS3 Slim model CECH-2000B (not to be confused with the already known CECH-2000A 120GB model) on the FCC site that Sony tried to hide under a company called Sand Dollar Enterprise, Inc. of 1518 Ascension Drive in San Mateo CA.

Now, Sand Dollar Enterprise, Inc is represented by SCEA's General Council, Riley Russell.

This house is actually a private residence, but whomever lives here filed the documents with the FCC, most likely on the behalf of Sony, as they would be much harder to find with a different FCC ID (XCE) than that of Sony (AK8).

This means that some time in the future (for probably a premium, maybe $349 or so), a new PS3 Slim may come out featuring a 250GB HDD. There is not much of a difference, but expect it to be bundled with a game or so, right in time for Christmas!

Also, for the DEVs listening - two new PS3 TEST's were hidden in these documents, thats right, Slim Line DEBUG stations!

The models DECH-2000A, features a 150GB HDD, and should be adorned...

BUZZ Studio Cheat Bug for PlayStation 3 Uncovered

BUZZ Studio Cheat Bug for PlayStation 3 Uncovered 400°
290w ago - Today SKFU has uncovered a BUZZ Studio cheat bug for PS3. To quote from his page, linked above:

You're playing BUZZ Studio in PlayStation HOME and you never win? I found a simple trick to win always, it's lame to cheat but well... hehe^^

When you join a game there's a XML file sent to the PlayStation with all questions and answers which will appear in the current game. It looks like this XML Example.

You will notice a simple false/true structure, so it is pretty easy to find the correct answer before the BUZZ time limit ends.

So if you want to win, sniff the traffic while joining a BUZZ Studio game, copy and paste the URL of the XML which appears in the traffic-data in a web browser and you have a chance ;-)

Rumor: Assassin's Creed 2 Details Uncovered for PlayStation 3

Rumor: Assassin's Creed 2 Details Uncovered for PlayStation 3 550°
314w ago - A JoyStiq (linked above) tipster claims to have been shown very early footage of the next Assassin's Creed. It apparently looked similar to the first game, though set around the 15th century - a few hundred years later.

After the footage played, there was a Q&A session where it was revealed the story would incorporate a family feud and disguises would play a part in the game.

To quote: The focus testers were asked to decide on their favorite of three character designs. Each image had different colored costumes and varying numbers of pouches or bags for the main character, though the overall design was the same: Similar to Altair's, but more colorful and fitting for the time period. Under each image was the word "ezio," an Italian name derived from the word for "eagle." Fitting, for the series.

Our tipster also told us that he saw the protagonist swimming during the video - something we've heard that Altair might've learnt since the first game - and that he can "use gunpowder to propel items at people."

The people conducting the focus test indicated that we might be seeing more of the game at E3 and that it will be in our hands late this year or early next. Of course, we've no way of confirming whether any of this is true, but it all sounds fairly plausable.
