Video: Hand of Fate PS4 Out Today on PlayStation 4, What to Expect 250°
2w ago - Defiant Development Associate Producer Kim Allom shared a PS4 video today announcing that Hand of Fate arrives today on PlayStation 4 with details below of what to expect!

To quote: Hi guys! Kim from Defiant Development, here. Today marks the launch of Hand of Fate on PS4, and I wanted to give ya'll insight into what you should expect while you play this roguelike deckbuilder we hold dear to our hearts.

Before I get to the juicy stuff, allow me to talk a bit about Defiant and how Hand of Fate came to fruition.

So we're an indie studio based in Brisbane, Australia (more commonly known as 'Straya) - home to bird-eating spiders and dingoes that eat babies. At least the beaches and forests are nice.

I digress! Over the last four years we've built a team of local veterans of the console industry (Pandemic, THQ, SEGA, and Krome), and fresh new talent.

A couple of successful mobile games later, we found ourselves in a strong position where the team can bring indie to console, thus the conception of Hand of Fate.

In fact, we'll be the first Australian studio to both self-publish and develop a title for PS4. This is a massive achievement for us, and 'Straya as a whole!

Video: Deadman's Cross PS Vita is Out Today on PlayStation Vita 50°
2w ago - Square Enix Producer Shinichi Tatsuke posted up a PS Vita video announcing that Deadman's Cross is out today on PlayStation Vita!

To quote: If, one day, 99.9% of humans turned into zombies, what would you do? Deadman's Cross is a game that depicts such a world.

Hello, my name is Shinichi Tatsuke and I'm a producer at Square Enix. I'd like to introduce Deadman's Cross, a game that launches today on PlayStation Vita.

This zombie card battle RPG recorded 4.7 million downloads worldwide last year. And now, it's coming to Vita as an enhanced, free-to-play game.

The setting is America in the year 2030. The government suddenly declares martial law in which everyone is restricted from going outside. You break the law and cautiously step outside - what you see is a world overrun with strange creatures called "Deadmen."

The game is split into two sections: shooting and card battles. In the shooting section, you'll shoot down Deadman, one after another, as they come after you. You fire away at the Deadmen that emerge in various areas like the town, graveyard, casino, aircraft carrier, and baseball field.

In this world, even animals and plants turn into Deadmen. Furthermore, historical...

Warframe Updated Today with New PS4 Modes, Features, Weapons

Warframe Updated Today with New PS4 Modes, Features, Weapons 200°
3w ago - Digital Extremes Associate Producer Pat Kudirka announced that Warframe is updated today with new PS4 modes, features and weapons as outlined below.

To quote: Warframe's latest update arrives today, bringing a whole new set of weapons and game modes for Space Ninjas to sink their teeth into.

With new social Relays to explore, Syndicates to discover, the return of an old nemesis, and an epic struggle in space against a towering foe, this update to our free sci-fi shooter looks to be one of the biggest yet.

The villain Vey Hek has been threatening the Solar System with his fleet of Balor Fomorian vessels for as long as anyone can remember, but we always thought that was part of his charm - like an old man sitting on the front porch waving angry fists at Tenno whippersnappers that walk too fast. Kind of adorable, in his own way.

Unfortunately, the time has come for Vey Hek to finally make his move. His Fomorian space fleet threatens to tip the balance of power in the Solar System, and he's made it clear that this deployment isn't just a strategic plot against the Lotus and her Tenno. It's a personal attack.

Tenno Relays

Relays are the newest addition to Warframe's Tenno socialization systems. They are space stations that orbit various planets...

Video: Minutes Lands on PS4 and PS Vita Today, Launch Trailer

Video: Minutes Lands on PS4 and PS Vita Today, Launch Trailer 250°
3w ago - Red Phantom Games Founder / Director Richard Ogden shared a trailer video announcing that Minutes officially lands on PS4 and PS Vita platforms today.

To quote: I'm pleased to announce that Minutes will be available on PlayStation Store today. It's a unique, abstract action game with retro DNA, a pure arcade heart, a super-clean visual style and music to get you in the zone!

Inspired by a need to rebel against AAA titles, I've designed a minimalist game. Minutes is all about gameplay purity. There are no cutscenes or dialogue trees here. It's stripped down to the fundamentals - move, collect, avoid, gauge risk vs. reward, think and react.

The challenge unfolds across 60 one-minute levels, chasing the score targets and other goals with different "energy shapes" to test you and various power-ups to unlock and assist you.

The mechanics at the game's core are simple: the player controls a circle and moves it around the screen to collect light energy shapes (for points) and avoid dark (which damage the player).

On top of this, the size of the circle can be changed (using the L and R shoulder buttons). Go small to stay safe and dodge through the dark energy. Go large to collect more light...

Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness, and Bananas on PS Vita Today

Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness, and Bananas on PS Vita Today 250°
3w ago - Disco Pixel's Trevor Stricker announced that Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness, and Bananas officially arrives onon PS Vita today!

Below are all the details and a PlayStation Vita trailer video, to quote:

Jungle Rumble is banging its way onto PS Vita... today! A ray of Rhythm-Puzzle sunshine beaming straight from the heart of the jungle, by curious route through the snowed in headquarters of Disco Pixel in blizzard-beseiged Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Jungle Rumble is a game where the player drums on the screen to control a tribe of monkeys. A rival tribe invades to steal bananas. The player drums on monkeys and drums on trees to swing those monkeys through those trees. The player drums on coconuts and drums on invaders to throw those coconuts. It's a Rhythm-Puzzle game.

Making Jungle Rumble happen has involved a lot of late nights by glowing screens, a lot of paying attention while new people playtested, and a lot of rethinking the assumptions of rhythm games. It has come a long way since a frigid night where I pitched the idea to Luigi Guatieri, who did the art.

We started off trying to make monkeys as simple and iconic as we could. We experimented with what makes a face look like...
