Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is Coming to PS Vita on March 3rd

Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is Coming to PS Vita on March 3rd 300°
2w ago - Sony Producer Yulie Yoshimura announced today that Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is coming to PS Vita on March 3rd, 2015.

Below are the details, to quote: It's been a long time since we've brought you any news on Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines, but I'm excited to announce that this unique JRPG will be available as a digital download on PS Vita via PlayStation Store for $19.99 starting on March 3rd!

So what does Oreshika bring to fans of the genre? Well, first of all there's the striking graphic style. Set in ancient Japan, the game art delivers a rich world inspired by traditional brush paintings of the Heian era.

You'll be exploring a beautiful, watercolor world filled with weird and wonderful creatures based on Japanese mythology. Oh, and we've kept the fantastic Japanese voiceover which fits in with the atmosphere perfectly.

The gameplay is quite unique, too. In Oreshika, you'll take control of a clan whose bloodlines have been struck with two terrible curses - a Curse of Ephemerality, and a Curse of Broken Lineage.

The Curse of Ephemerality means that your clan members age rapidly with a maximum lifespan of around 2 years. As you explore labyrinths, defeat demons, and find treasures, the clock of in-game time is always ticking so it's important to plan your...

Video: What's New in OlliOlli 2 on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita

Video: What's New in OlliOlli 2 on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita 250°
3w ago - Roll7's General Dogsbody Simon Bennett shared a new video trailer today revealing what's new in OlliOlli 2 on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita below!

To quote: Hello there, PlayStation people! Simon here, reporting from the epicentre of skate that is Roll7 HQ.

2014 was a mental year for the team here in New Cross, London - we couldn't have imagined getting SO much love for our little skatey game, OlliOlli.

OlliOlli2 might seem like it has hit Beta status quite quickly, but when you consider that we feature locked on the Vita original in August 2013 - it seems like we have been honing this bad boy for ages!

We have now completed all user testing and locked about 95% of features while Sam, our Head of QA, does his evil magic and tries to break the game six ways from Sunday.

So, whats new in OlliOlli2? Well - much like THPS2 we have added Manuals and Combos - a serious game changer allowing a player to chain together combos like some kind of skate ninja from the future. As combos increase, so do the score potentials - so we have added a section to the HUD which shows what a potential score WOULD be if the current combo was landed Perfect.

We also have grind switches - a super satisfying...

Video: Minutes Lands on PS4 and PS Vita Today, Launch Trailer

Video: Minutes Lands on PS4 and PS Vita Today, Launch Trailer 250°
3w ago - Red Phantom Games Founder / Director Richard Ogden shared a trailer video announcing that Minutes officially lands on PS4 and PS Vita platforms today.

To quote: I'm pleased to announce that Minutes will be available on PlayStation Store today. It's a unique, abstract action game with retro DNA, a pure arcade heart, a super-clean visual style and music to get you in the zone!

Inspired by a need to rebel against AAA titles, I've designed a minimalist game. Minutes is all about gameplay purity. There are no cutscenes or dialogue trees here. It's stripped down to the fundamentals - move, collect, avoid, gauge risk vs. reward, think and react.

The challenge unfolds across 60 one-minute levels, chasing the score targets and other goals with different "energy shapes" to test you and various power-ups to unlock and assist you.

The mechanics at the game's core are simple: the player controls a circle and moves it around the screen to collect light energy shapes (for points) and avoid dark (which damage the player).

On top of this, the size of the circle can be changed (using the L and R shoulder buttons). Go small to stay safe and dodge through the dark energy. Go large to collect more light...

Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness, and Bananas on PS Vita Today

Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness, and Bananas on PS Vita Today 250°
3w ago - Disco Pixel's Trevor Stricker announced that Jungle Rumble: Freedom, Happiness, and Bananas officially arrives onon PS Vita today!

Below are all the details and a PlayStation Vita trailer video, to quote:

Jungle Rumble is banging its way onto PS Vita... today! A ray of Rhythm-Puzzle sunshine beaming straight from the heart of the jungle, by curious route through the snowed in headquarters of Disco Pixel in blizzard-beseiged Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Jungle Rumble is a game where the player drums on the screen to control a tribe of monkeys. A rival tribe invades to steal bananas. The player drums on monkeys and drums on trees to swing those monkeys through those trees. The player drums on coconuts and drums on invaders to throw those coconuts. It's a Rhythm-Puzzle game.

Making Jungle Rumble happen has involved a lot of late nights by glowing screens, a lot of paying attention while new people playtested, and a lot of rethinking the assumptions of rhythm games. It has come a long way since a frigid night where I pitched the idea to Luigi Guatieri, who did the art.

We started off trying to make monkeys as simple and iconic as we could. We experimented with what makes a face look like...
