Sony Announces PlayStation Plus 2015: January's Free PSN Games

Sony Announces PlayStation Plus 2015: January's Free PSN Games 650°
9w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer announced January's free PSN games to begin their PlayStation Plus 2015 perks!

To quote: It's almost time to ring in another New Year, so let's take a peek at what Plus members can play to kick off 2015.

PlayStation 4 owners can leave their pink neon mark on the city of Seattle in inFAMOUS: First Light, a standalone expansion to inFamous: Second Son that outlines the backstory of the troubled conduit, Fetch.

Additionally, there's The Swapper, where you'll use a cloning gun to solve puzzles in hopes of getting yourself off a creepy space station. On PS3, you can unleash a lot of chaos in an open-world via Prototype 2 or take a trip down memory lane with the revamped classic platformer DuckTales Remastered.

Finally, Vita owners can nab Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition so they can enjoy some first-person shooting on the go, as well as test their arcade game skills with the single-screen platformer Whoa Dave!

All of these games will be free for Plus members starting January 6th. If you want to see these titles in action, check out the video below.

Sony is Sending Out PSN Codes for Free PS4 Christmas Theme, Details 700°
10w ago - Following up on their previous PlayStation 4 theme updates, on this Christmas Day Sony is sending out PSN codes for a free PS4 Christmas Theme with details below, to quote:

"Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is sending a Christmas mail to PSN subscribers including codes to download a lovely Christmas theme for PS4, of which you can see two screenshots above and below.

On top of the PS4 theme, the mail include a PS3 one (featuring the same design), a free episode of a TV series and and a DLC for LittleBigPlanet 3 including Holiday costumes, items, stickers and decorations.

That's definitely not a bad way to begin the gift unwrapping galore.

Note: if you live in the SCEE territories and you didn't receive the codes, you probably didn't opt in to receive promotional mail from Sony, which most probably puts you out of luck for this round."

Finally, from donpureevil: I don't need them, but maybe someone here wants them:

PS4 theme: RTHP-7EN2-T4KQ
PS3 theme: N2LQ-MLNG-FMNB
LBP code: DF2Q-RQNM-GH32

Free to Play Shooter Loadout Hits PS4 Today, PS Plus Member Extras

Free to Play Shooter Loadout Hits PS4 Today, PS Plus Member Extras 50°
11w ago - Edge of Reality's Greg Bauman announced that free to play shooter Loadout hits PS4 today with lots of extras for PS Plus members!

Below are the details, to quote: It's here, PlayStation fans! Greg Bauman here from Edge of Reality, and I've got good news: the guns are loaded, the sights are balanced, the explosives are primed, and the maps have been stain-proofed, which means Loadout will be ready to download and play today, for FREE, on PlayStation 4!

Starting today, you and your friends can start assembling the guns of your (deeply disturbing) dreams, and begin a healthy debate over whose weapon is better at reducing whom to a bloody paste. Loadout has literally billions of gun combinations, and you can start trying them out on the nearest unsuspecting chump - for FREE.

Really, if you're trying to determine whether a laser-guided tesla missile will kill someone faster than a flaming death beam, the best method is to test for yourself, don't you think?

Speaking of trying things for yourself, I should remind you again that Loadout is Free-to-Play on PS4! You can download the game and start perfecting the art of self-expression via explosive projectiles just as soon as you can get to the PlayStation Store.

What's more, if you're a PlayStation Plus member, you'll...

Road Not Taken Free PS4 Update is Out Now on PlayStation 4

Road Not Taken Free PS4 Update is Out Now on PlayStation 4 100°
11w ago - Spry Fox CEO David Edery announced that the Road Not Taken free PS4 update is out now on PlayStation 4 with details below!

To quote: Hi folks! We're pleased to announce the first major (free!) update to Road Not Taken is hitting your PS4s now! There's a lot of goodies in here, the most notable of which include:

• "Easier" mode and hard mode: many people have told us that while they love the original gameplay and the art in Road Not Taken, the game is simply too difficult for them. After chewing on this feedback for a while, we decided to split the game into two modes, Normal and Hard.

"Hard" is basically our original mode with just a few tweaks; "Normal" is a new mode that is more generous with energy and has less crowded (and therefore less difficult) rooms, among other changes.

In addition, checkpoints are now less punishing to use (in both modes), so players who felt like they were pointless before will hopefully find them more of a tempting gamble now.

• New "just for fun" Timed Mode: try to rescue all the kids within four minutes! You lose time whenever you take damage, and you add time to the clock whenever you eat food and rescue children. Timed Mode has no impact on your career, so it's a great way to enjoy Road Not Taken for a few minutes with limited...
