Amplitude: First PS4 Gameplay Trailer, Team Multiplayer Revealed 550°
2d ago - Creative Lead Ryan Lesser posted up the first Amplitude PS4 gameplay trailer today revealing Team Multiplayer below!

To quote: Hey there, fellow FreQ!

It's been a while since I've had a chance to talk to you about Amplitude, but with PAX East right around the corner, and looking at the great progress we've been making in development, it seems like a great time to show you what we are up to.

Team Amplitude has been working feverishly to bring a sweet build of the game to PAX East, and as of this past week, we think that we nailed it. In the past few months since showing the game at PlayStation Experience, we've put a real focus on multiplayer, hoping to get groups battling it out at PAX East.

While we were focusing on the gameplay for Amplitude multiplayer, I started posing a question to the team: What can we do to even the playing field when pro players sit on the couch to play against new players?

During a team meeting, I discussed thoughts that I had for things like "rubber-banding" and power-up distribution, and out of nowhere, Amplitude Audio Lead Pete Maguire threw out the idea of team play. TEAM PLAY!? Genius!

Team play is something we'd never done in Amplitude before, and allowing players to team up 2v2 or even 3v1 sounded like an amazing...

New Sony PlayStation and PSN Games for March 3, 2015 700°
3d ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements is here with this weeks new PlayStation and PSN games with details below.

To quote: Prepare to drop into high-stakes combat and protect democracy at all costs – Helldivers is coming to PS4, PS3, and PS Vita this week in a flurry of friendly-fire chaos!

Helldivers enlists you in an elite squad of soldiers that travel the star system, obliterating any enemy of Super Earth that dares rear its insectoid head. With full four-player cooperative, and the looming presence of friendly fire at every turn, Helldivers is packed with challenge and three different alien races itching to destroy you.

Procedurally-generated levels keep even the most versatile soldiers coming back for more, and a non-linear mission structure opens up even more carnage-laden options. Bonus: Helldivers supports cross play and cross chat across all three platforms.

If squashing space bugs and cyborgs isn't your cup of tea, fear not: Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is also headed to PS Vita this week. In it, you'll guide a clan across many generations in an effort to purge your family of an ancient curse. With watercolor visuals and spectacular battles, this RPG brings a new twist to Japanese mythology.

Spoilers: New Bloodborne Boss Revealed for PlayStation 4

Spoilers: New Bloodborne Boss Revealed for PlayStation 4 550°
5d ago - Sony PR Manager Yasuhiro Kitao shared some PS4 spoilers today revealing a new Bloodborne boss for PlayStation 4!

Read on if you dare, to quote: Hello, readers. This is Kitao, PR Manager for Bloodborne in Japan.

Today I would like to introduce a brand new boss enemy from the game.

Just like in Demon's Souls, Bloodborne will feature many boss enemies of all shapes and sizes, and there will be a variety of ways to defeat them. So I think you will find that the gameplay in Bloodborne is rich and diverse.

I am happy to introduce a new boss character called "Darkbeast." This electric beast emerges from giant skeletal remains. With lightning coursing through its body, it bombards the player with its erratic and off-speed movements.

You can check out this beast in action in the video just released as part of IGN First.

Darkbeast - A malformed beast enveloped in blue lightning.

With a long body made of only bones, and a wrinkle-covered skull, people say this beast must be very old, very ancient.

Or perhaps, it is...
