Evolution Studios Details the DriveClub PS4 Free DLC Schedule

Evolution Studios Details the DriveClub PS4 Free DLC Schedule 100°
25w ago - Evolution Studios Community Development Manager Jamie Brayshaw shared details on the DriveClub free DLC schedule for PlayStation 4 today.

To quote: Our players are the heart and soul of DRIVECLUB, and when the game begins October 7th, Evolution Studios will be going all out to keep the experience fresh and exciting for all of you.

We're determined to build up a lively community of millions of connected racers around you, so our post-launch development will be influenced by what you do in the game and the feedback you share with us.

New content, improvements, and updates will all be shaped by you and everyone you play with. And of course, we're going to do our best to keep surprising you with our own creativity, too!

In fact, thanks to all of the players we've met and talked to already, our mission has already started.

We're already working hard to develop free updates that will introduce a powerful weather system (that you can play around with to change the dynamics of every race) and a photo mode, because they've both been requested ever since...

Turtle Rock Studios Evolve: Mix and Match Monsters on PlayStation 4

Turtle Rock Studios Evolve: Mix and Match Monsters on PlayStation 4 50°
28w ago - Turtle Rock Studios Design Director and Co-Founder Chris Ashton announced that Evolve: Mix and Match Monsters is coming to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: At Gamescom, the Turtle Rock Studios team is excited for people to finally experience what Evolve is all about - mixing and matching characters, monsters, and environments for increased replayability and strategy.

It all funnels into the idea that every round is different, and there is always a way to win.

At PAX East, gamers got their hands on the first tier of Hunters versus Goliath in a Forest Environment. At E3, journalists and industry veterans experienced the second tier of Hunters fighting against Kraken in a Desert Environment that was filled with new wildlife species.

Now at Gamescom, we are introducing a third environment to the mix with even more wildlife that change the rules of the game. Take the humble Glaciopod, for example. Normally Monsters kill everything they see, but in this environment, experienced Monsters protect Glaciopods because they actually produce food that the monster can eat.

At Gamescom, we're also allowing players to mix and match Hunters to their liking. This idea is core to the Evolve experience: because every Hunter,...

Devolver Digital Announces Hotline Miami Hits PS4 on August 19th

Devolver Digital Announces Hotline Miami Hits PS4 on August 19th 100°
29w ago - Devolver Digital Chief Financial Officer Fork Parker announced today that Hotline Miami hits PS4 on August 19th, 2014.

Below are the details, to quote: A little over one year ago, Jonatan Soderstrom and Dennis Wedin's Hotline Miami launched on PS3 and PS Vita, thanks to the efforts of fellow developer Abstraction Games and the good folks at PlayStation.

Between now and then, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number was announced and PS4 took the world by storm, but we always knew that Dennaton Games' landmark hit had to make its way to PS4. That's why we're absolutely thrilled to announce that Hotline Miami will launch for PS4 on August 19th in North America.

So what's new? Well, the team didn't want to tamper with the perfection that is Hotline Miami for the latest release, but there were certainly some fun new options that were only possible on PS4.

Gamers can now use DualShock 4′s touch pad to look around and lock on enemies, and actually shake the controller itself to perform execution moves when you have an enemy pinned on the ground. And to take the violence to the next level, the sounds of those same execution moves are amplified through the speaker on the DualShock 4 itself. Ouch.

Video: The Hungry Horde Devours PlayStation Vita This Year

Video: The Hungry Horde Devours PlayStation Vita This Year 50°
29w ago - Nosebleed Interactive's Andreas Firnigl shared a PS Vita video trailer today confirming that The Hungry Horde devours PlayStation Vita this year.

To quote: Wow. We're featured on the PlayStation.Blog! I'm Andreas Firnigl, Director at Nosebleed Interactive.

We're a small development studio based in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England, and the reason we're surprised we're on here is that we've come rather a long way in the last couple of years.

We'd like to introduce you all to "The Hungry Horde." Like all good ideas, it's a pretty simple concept. You start the game off controlling a couple of wayward zombies. Every time you bite a human they join your ever-increasing horde, until you're controlling whole streets full of the undead.

Unfortunately, rampaging through the streets eating brains is always going to grab someone's attention, and sensing the danger to the population the government has decided to do the only sensible thing they can: quarantine the area and nuke you.

So it's a race against the clock to gather a big enough horde to smash down any human defenses and take on armed guards, tanks and any other opposition that gets between you and those tasty brains.
