Famitsu Reveals New Action-RPG dubbed Demon's Souls for PS3 50°
October 1, 2008 // 8:10 pm - Sony Computer Entertainment has unviled unveiled its new action-RPG entitled 'Demon's Souls' for PS3 in the latest issue of Famitsu.

The game will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show this year, and is scheduled for release in Japan next year.

Level-5 Reveals Five New Games 100°
September 25, 2008 // 12:03 am - Yesterday Ushiro for PSP was announced by Level-5, and today they have unveiled another four titles as well.

For those who didn't know, Level-5 is the independent Japanese developer who was worked on everything from early PlayStation 2 RPG Dark Cloud to the world-beating, epic Dragon Quest VIII.

Ion Reveals $299.99 Price for Premium Rock Band Drums 50°
July 11, 2008 // 10:01 pm - Thought $180 for the original Rock Band package was expensive? You ain't seen nothing yet.

The official Web site for Ion's professional Drum Rocker (as recently revealed in Game Informer) lists a $299.99 price for the deluxe drum controller. Only the Xbox 360 version of the set is currently available for pre-order, though Wii and PS3 editions are "expected to ship later in the year," according to the site.

Nintendo Power reveals Castlevania Judgement for Wii 50°
June 26, 2008 // 8:24 pm - According to GoNintendo (linked above): I know you guys wouldn't believe this unless I had proof. Reader Blissteria was nice enough to take some pictures from the latest issue of Nintendo Power. I am only going to post one, due to 'fair use'.

Also, I just wanted to make sure that you guys believed the news!

Characters confirmed thus far - Dracula, Simon, Alucard, Shanoa, and Maria Renard. Classic subweapons - holy water, magic spells, dagger, boomerang. Subweapon use still depends on hearts, and it offers remixed classic Castlevania tunes.

Insider reveals XMB Firmware v2.40 features, set for E3 launch 250°
June 25, 2008 // 6:19 pm - Update: Since the original story went live, further information regarding the inclusion of trophies in the 2.40 update became available. As expected full 2D trophy support will be in the XMB update and there will be four types: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Platinum is only awarded when you have collected all other trophies in a game. Also there are no gamer points, it's all done via a levelling up system. Think Call of Duty 4 leveling up system, we reckon.

Criterion reveals the Biggest News in Burnout History 100°
April 25, 2008 // 4:12 pm - It's bikes; as in, bikes are coming to Burnout Paradise!

"For the first time, we'll let you loose in a Burnout game on motorbikes!" Criterion exclaims, explaining that it's planning to get bikes in via its Davis update for the racer. It's expecting to have the update out in August.

"And because we're dedicated to bringing you game-changing new Burnout Paradise content all year, bikes will feature their own game modes, challenges and even some new locations tailored to fit their unique performance and handing characteristics", the developer continues.

ESRB Listing Reveals New DS Castlevania Title 50°
April 14, 2008 // 9:50 pm - A new listing on the Entertainment Software Rating Board's Web site indicates that a new title in Konami's long-running Castlevania series is heading to the Nintendo DS.

Entitled Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, the title was also recently discovered in an entry in the US Patent and Trademark Office's database which revealed the game's title and logo.

Previous Castlevania appearances on the Nintendo DS platform include Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin, released in 2005 and 2006, respectively. A third title in the 2D adventure series was confirmed as in development...
