Just One More Minute: Taking to the Skies in Luftrausers Details

Just One More Minute: Taking to the Skies in Luftrausers Details 50°
93w ago - Vlambeer's Rami Ismail announced today that fans can take to the skies in Luftrausers with details below, as follows:

LUFTRAUSERS is a short game. To be precise, it takes about thirty seconds. We're not talking in terms of hours you need to complete the campaign, although you technically could beat it within two minutes.

We're not even talking about how many hours you'll be playing the game in total. What we're talking about is the amount of time a single round of LUFTRAUSERS is going to take you.

When you boot the game for the first time on your PlayStation 3 or PS Vita, you'll see the logos of Vlambeer and Devolver Digital - as you'd expect. There'll be a short introductory cutscene, as a lone dot appears on enemy radar. A submarine rises from the water.

The structure of the game is really simple. You start out with the original LUFTRAUSER, the most powerful airplane ever built. It is launched perfectly vertical from a submarine that only submerges for the shortest of moments to allow you to establish yourself as the nightmare of the many enemies surrounding you.

A game of LUFTRAUSERS is essentially you trying to survive against increasing odds. While at first you might engage only basic fighter planes, it'll take an average player just moments to lure...

Watch_Dogs for PS4 and PS3: Details on the Future-Tech Action Epic

Watch_Dogs for PS4 and PS3: Details on the Future-Tech Action Epic 200°
95w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman shared details today on Watch_Dogs for PS4 and PS3 detailing the the future-tech action epic below.

To quote: Watch_Dogs's dark vision of technological totalitarianism is heading to PS3 and PS4, and we were lucky enough to see the first live gameplay demo in San Francisco earlier this week (played on a DualShock 4, no less!). We've carefully studied the footage, asked pressing questions, and present you with this breakdown.

1. Aiden Pierce isn't your typical videogame protagonist

"Aiden is a man with a dark past who has made questionable choices," Lead Story Designer Kevin Shortt explained in our first live gameplay demo.Growing up in Chicago, Aiden used his technical prowess to infiltrate bank accounts and access surveillance systems, becoming something of a vigilante. Naturally, these pursuits earned him some powerful enemies on both sides of the law.

As you play Watch_Dogs, you won't be choosing between stark extremes on some binary morality scale, but defining where Aiden resides on much murkier spectrum of acceptability.

2. Chicago isn't your typical videogame city

We've all played open-world action games where cities feel more like a collection of giant painted boxes than a...

Video: Sony Details How to Be a PlayStation Mobile Publisher for Free 50°
95w ago - Sony Senior Manager Sarah Thomson of PlayStation Mobile Content Acquisition shared details below today on how to become a PlayStation Mobile publisher for free.

To quote: This summer we're throwing down the gauntlet for PlayStation Mobile development and are removing any existing barriers to get your brainchild of a game on this new PlayStation platform.

As you saw with our recent Indie Arcade event at GDC, we're always looking to support new developer talent, so we've decided to waive the $99 publisher license fee for PlayStation Mobile, which means you can bring your games to PlayStation Vita or any PlayStation-certified device free of cost.

Those of you who want to throw your hat into the ring of PlayStation Mobile development now have the perfect opportunity to place your game alongside popular titles like Haunt the House: Terrortown and Beats Slider.

If you've been sitting on a gem of a mobile title, or found yourself with some extra time this summer, now's the time to jump in! Starting on Tuesday, May 7th the Publisher License Fee for PlayStation Mobile will be waived. Check out the PlayStation Mobile Dev Portal for more information.

Video: Castle of Illusion is Coming to PSN This Summer, Details 50°
98w ago - Sega Senior Digital Brand Manager Mai Kawaguchi announced today alongside a video that Disney's Castle of Illusion is coming to PSN this Summer with details below.

To quote: Mickey Mouse is returning to star in Castle of Illusion, a fantastical HD reimagining of the classic Sega Genesis game.

The game is scheduled to release in summer of 2013. We know that Castle of Illusion has a special place in many gamers' hearts. Sega studios Australia is putting lots of care into this new 2D/3D game.

Our plan is to deliver a fully reimagined experience that takes advantage of the power of PS3 with all new graphics and new adventures, while at the same time making sure that the game maintains the Disney magic that the original Castle of Illusion captured in 1990.

We have also been working very closely with the director of the original game, who is now at Disney Interactive. We are having a blast working with her to realize many of the elements that were intended for the original game, but couldn't be achieved until now due to the technical limitations of previous generation consoles.

If you have played the original game, you will also see that we have kept intact many of the major iconic...
