Video: Plants vs. Zombies Shambles on Zen Pinball 2, New Table 100°
130w ago - Zen Studios Creative Director Neil Sorens is here with a new video showcasing Plants vs. Zombies for Zen Pinball 2 which includes a new table!

Below are the details, to quote: We are pleased to welcome ourselves – Jeff Green, Community Manager for PopCap Games and Neil Sorens, Zen Studios' Creative Director – to the show, as we dynamically tag-team this entry.

We wanted to share with you a little bit about how Zen and PopCap worked together to create the Plants vs. Zombies Pinball table, releasing today right alongside Zen Pinball 2 for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. Enough of us rambling though; take a look at the trailer.

Jeff: The first thing you need to know about this Plants vs. Zombies table is that it is built out of authentic Plants vs. Zombies bits and pieces.

We handed Zen Studios original game assets including art, sounds, objects, zombies, flowers, plants, defenses - ok, you get it - in a beautiful package of digital goodness. Zen took these and went to work designing another brilliant pinball table. We asked Crazy Dave for some wisdom to send along to Zen: "MMMMMM PINBALL".

Neil: When we first received all these assets, our excitement level went through the...

Video: Interview: Insomniac Games on Ratchet & Clank: QForce

Video: Interview: Insomniac Games on Ratchet & Clank: QForce 100°
130w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton has recently interviewed Shaun McCabe of Insomniac Games who spills the beans on Ratchet & Clank: QForce for PS3 below!

To quote: While many popular franchises are happy to stick rigidly to their tried-and-tested formula whenever it's time for a new entry, the Ratchet & Clank series has never shied away from mixing things up.

This year's Ratchet & Clank: QForce - the tenth outing for developer Insomniac Games' dynamic duo - is no different.

Due out on both PS Vita and PlayStation 3 before the end of the year, it adds an intriguing - and, believe me, thoroughly entertaining - new tower defence element to keep players on their toes.

We bumped into Insomniac's Shaun McCabe at Gamescom last month and immediately thrust a camera in his face to find out more.

See what he has to say below, and then remind yourselves of the game's latest trailer.

Video: PAX 2012: Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is Coming to PS3

Video: PAX 2012: Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is Coming to PS3 400°
130w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman is here with some video footage this weekend announcing that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is coming to PS3 at PAX 2012.

To quote: At PAX 2012, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima showed off 15 minutes of the first gameplay footage from his upcoming PS3 game. Though running on a PC, Kojima stated that the footage was comparable to what would be seen on the PS3 version of the game.

The demo begins with an in-engine, real-time cinematic set in a rain-drenched prison camp, and ably shows off FOX Engine's advanced shader, lighting, and particle effects.

After the cinematic showing a mysterious man with a mutilated face and wide-brimmed hat leading troops from the prison camp into a mission, the gameplay footage kicked into gear as Snake moved into position outside the prison camp - a huge open-world environment riddled with entry points.

Kojima pointed out nearby APCs and helicopters, confirming that Snake can commandeer and pilot them if he so desired. As if to prove the point, Snake hopped into a Jeep to gain access, evading a roaming tank in the process. Kojima also showed that you can deploy a flare "at any time" to call in a friendly helicopter - it will let you fly between missions, and even to other countries.

Video: Double Dragon Neon is Lighting Up PSN in September 2012 400°
131w ago - Majesco Entertainment Assistant Product Manager Pete Rosky has announced today alongside a video below that Double Dragon Neon is lighting up PSN this September!

Below are the details, to quote: After 25 years, the original beat 'em up is bringing pure over-the-top baditude to PSN. In Double Dragon Neon, Billy and Jimmy are kicking butts and taking names as they search for their girlfriend Marian (she seems to have a habit of getting kidnapped).

This time, her disappearance is at the hands of the supernatural scourge, Skullmageddon! Face off against a gaggle of goons, some familiar (Williams, Linda, and Abobo, of course!) and some that are absolutely out of this world.

DDN also features 2 player "Bro-Op", so grab a bro and bring the true power of the Double Dragon to the evil forces that have once again incurred your wrath. Don't forget to pick up songs along the way for your Mix-Tape, which holds your special powers and upgrades. There are also killer team-up moves, enemy juggling... and some secrets that I won't spoil here.

Pick up Double Dragon Neon on PSN for $9.99. Oh, and if you're a PlayStation Plus member, you'll be able to grab the game for free until January! Pretty sweet, huh?

Video: Fuel Overdose: A Tactical Action Racing Game Coming to PSN

Video: Fuel Overdose: A Tactical Action Racing Game Coming to PSN 50°
131w ago - I-Friqiya Executive Producer Skander Djerbi has shared a video today spotlighting the upcoming tactical action racing game coming to PSN called Fuel Overdose below.

To quote: In 2010, we started the development of Fuel Overdose with the ambition of offering a new kind of solo and multiplayer action racing experience, by bringing more variety to the combat gameplay as well as a tactical approach to the genre. That's why we like to think of Fuel Overdose as a "Tactical-Action-Racing" game.

Our first decision was to go for a top-down/isometric perspective, as we wanted to have a camera system that gives you the innovative features that make Fuel Overdose feel unique. Today, with the first official trailer, we're introducing the racing component of the game.

When we decided to go for a top-down/isometric camera system, we pulled our old consoles out of the closet to try to recapture the spirit of classic racing games. We immediately remembered that what we loved about them is that balance between the immediate fun they deliver and the depth of their gameplay.

With Fuel Overdose, we want to deliver a game that walks the line between arcade and simulation. In order to show their edge, the best drivers will have to master many different vehicles, each with its own specific handling.
