New Strikers Coming to High Velocity Bowling for PS3

50°
312w ago - Today Brandon Akiaten of Team RamRod revealed some new strikers heading to High Velocity Bowling for PS3 as follows:

We're back and with a couple more characters for you to 'roll' with. I'm happy to present you all with Bruce 'Flyboy' Fitzpatrick and Carmen 'Sordida' Sanchez.

Both of these guys are available beginning TODAY and for just $0.99 each! Here's a little info on our new additions:

Bruce 'Flyboy' Fitzpatrick

Bruce is a flamboyant flight attendant from New York, New York who happens to be fantastic in the lane. He's definitely earned the nickname 'Flyboy' and has proven to have fabulous ball control. Though, his downfall is that he cares more about his precious manicure than pin action ... so it's nothing but light balls for him.

Carmen 'Sordida' Sanchez

Carmen is from San Ysidro, California, and with a chip on her shoulder, she has much to prove. She'll do anything to win even if it requires dirty tactics. Carmen refuses to wear bowling shoes and as a result, her form leaves a lot to be desired.

We hope you enjoy these two new additions to the High Velocity Bowling family! BUT, if that wasn't enough for you, keep checking back with us in a few weeks as we have more to 'spare'...

Unreal Tournament 3 PS3 Titan DLC and Patch Delayed

400°
313w ago - Bad news from the Unreal Tournament III front. Epic Games has announced that the Titan DLC and patch for the game's PS3 version won't be going live tomorrow as planned.

Here's the announcement post from Epic's Steve Polge on the Epic Games forums (linked above):

Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, the certification process for the PS3 patch and DLC has taken much longer than we expected. As a result, we have been forced to push back the release date for the PS3 version to 3/19.

The Titan DLC (which is supposed to be free, by the way) will add 16 new environments and three bonus pack maps to UT3 along with a host of other features like PS3 Trophy support and split-screen support. It also includes a Titan mutator that lets players turn into 15-foot Titans and 30-foot Behemoths.

Lamers Have PS3 HDD Decrypted Tutorial, Sony Now Knows!

313w ago - This working of knightsolidus with me was supposed to be private, but now DemonHades leaked it and then Pirate (Shazim Mohammad) posted it like a fool before work was done. We try to control it by put fake but now is too late -- THANKS FOR NOTHING GUYS!

This part is also lie, it was NOT EVER brought to public attention by knightsolidus: "knightsolidus stumbled upon this during his research and brought it to the public's attention."

He ask them to remove it from their page, they did not respect and post it more like basters!

Regard to SKFU, he is right in some parts.. I was excited of seeing new files, until I find they were only from debug like CJPC said already. Also, is true so far we only remove the HDD crypt so this not much help until file crypt is beaten.

All this is truth also of SKFU: You get a few sprx, rco and xml files, possible a few more types but those are useless unless you can remove the encryption of the file itself. But you can't yet. So the only thing you can do for example is getting the firmware part which is on the HDD.

But these are only UNPACKED files, NOT DECRYPTED files. You may be able to replace several firmware files ye, so if replacing some text in the XMB or an icon is a custom firmware for...

Street Fighter IV Live Q&A, Resident Evil 5 Space Hit PS Home

400°
313w ago - PlayStation Home Online Community Specialist Locust_Star detailed some PlayStation Home events scheduled for this week as follows:

First, we are holding a live Q&A session with John Diamonon and Seth Killian from Capcom today, March 4th.

This chat will focus on all things related to Street Fighter IV and will give a few lucky attendees the chance to win a more intimate follow-up Q&A (complete with an SFIV tips and tricks tutorial) in a private clubhouse at a later date.

To participate in the general Q&A, just bring your bad self over to the Gamer's Lounge today between the hours of 7:00 - 9:00pm PST (10:00 - 11:00pm EST) - and don't be afraid to show up dressed as your favorite SFIV character!

To start, John and Seth will be "instance-jumping" throughout the event, so if you're in the Gamer's Lounge and you don't see them, cool out and sit tight! They'll be making the rounds.

These two gents will be tackling the most popular questions culled from the official PlayStation Home forums (under the usernames "HIERO9D3" and "clothhand"), but will hold a brief open chat afterwards....

The Most Amazing PS3 Case Mod Ever, or a Big Waste of a PS3?

800°
313w ago - If you're an Alien fan, this may be the most amazing PS3 case mod ever. If not, this little homemade horror may seem like the biggest waste of a PlayStation 3 console ever.

To quote: The tattoo artist/case modder responsible for this creation used (and burned himself with) super heated epoxy putty and Games Workshop's Chaos Black paint for the finish. He had to settle for a layer of gloss instead of sanding it – it sounds (and looks like) a pain to smooth out.

The sculpt is as hard as a metal casting and permanently welds itself to everything, especially the plastic top. And it's only on the top panel and door so he can switch it out if he gets a new one.

And if anyone's interested, this is how I explained it to him; It takes ALOT more work than a portrait tattoo, which I would charge $300 for. So if I had to do something like this again... $300.
