European PlayStation Store Update for May 12, 2010

250w ago - SCEE's Ross McGrath of the PlayStation Store Team is here with this week's European PSN update today, as follows:

So what's on the cards this week?

Well, quite apart from the new set of amazing Special Offers, (Critter Crunch for €2.99/£2.39 is just one of the deals too good to pass up) if you ever owned a MegaDrive or SNES then the chances are you might remember 'Rocket Knight Adventures' or its sequel 'Sparkster'.

If you do, or even if you don't you're in for a treat because this week Konami brings us 'Rocket Knight' - the sequel to these two 16-Bit gems.

Armed with a whacking great sword and his trademark rocket pack, you'll take to the skies to defend the world of Elhorn from all comers. Best of all, if you're still on the fence you can try it out before you grab the full game.

We've also been blessed with 'Catan'- a digital version of the German board game, 'The Settlers of Catan' for you all to enjoy. It'll take a mixture of strategy, luck and negotiation to come out on top and it's addictive enough that I've been playing it all week. So get out there and establish those colonies! Establish them!

You're spoiled for DLC this month as awesome titles become even more awesome. Battlefield: Bad Company...

251w ago - SCEE PlayStation Store Team member Mike Kebby has posted up the first 'Wednesday' European PSN update today, as follows:

So, today's historic occasion has arrived; the first Wednesday store update.

We also have two other full games available this week in the form of Anarchy: Rush Hour and Feeding Frenzy 2, whilst for PSP users you'll be able to get to grips with R-Type Tactics.

We also have two massive demos for you this week, for the forthcoming titles UFC Undisputed 2010, and Split/Second: Velocity, and we also have the first expansion for the PSN exclusive title Burn Zombie Burn!, and it's set in space, what more do you need?

Finally; The Stimulus Pack is here! Not sure if you've heard of this? Of course you have, who am I kidding? For those of you who have been itching to get your hands on the new maps for the multiplayer experience of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, now is your chance.

Throw into the mix the Flower soundtrack,...

253w ago - Today Mike Kebby from the SCEE PlayStation Store Team has detailed the European PSN update, as follows:

I'm pleased to say that we've got three new PS3 games available this week; from gun-tootin' gunslingers in Lead and Gold - Gangs of the Wild West, to furry domesticated animals running riot in Hamsterball Unleashed, to high-speed arcade action in After Burner Climax.

European PlayStation Store Update for April 15, 2010

254w ago - Today Mike Kebby of the SCEE PlayStation Store Team has detailed this week's European PSN update contents.

To quote: I'm sure most of you are aware that this week we finally get the much anticipated episodes for Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony onto the store... exciting, I'm sure you'll agree (they will be available on Friday morning not the usual Thursday publish).

Also, the first episode for the new Sam and Max game The Devil's Playground is available for those who pre-ordered. If you didn't pre-order don't worry though, as you can download the trial, and then buy the full season entitlement if you'd like to continue their adventures (the full season entitlement will also still be available on the store separately from the trial too).

Finally, because I am such a massive fan of System of a Down, and their brilliant frontman Serj Tankian, I have to mention that there are Two Rock Band tracks available from Mr. Tankian's incredible solo album. I urge you Rock Banders out there to get downloading these awesome tracks, and if you don't like them, then there's no accounting for taste is there? I jest, I jest.

To finish, some housekeeping: please be advised the store management team is not actually in the office today...
