Top 5 Exclusive XBox 360 Games of 2009 50°
December 26, 2008 // 8:09 pm - The XBox 360 had a great year in 2008, featuring a couple of great exclusives in Gears of War 2 and Fable II. In 2009, here are the top 5 exclusive picks:

Halo 3: ODST - Given Microsoft's complete lack of clarity on their 2009 line-up, the only title that they're currently (and exclusively) offering in 2009 that I am interested in is Halo 3: ODST. Despite Halo 3 being somewhat of a disappointment to me, I find myself irresistibly excited by the prospect of a new Halo game.

The series still has some kick ass weapons, great maps and fantastic controls to boot–and...

Saving XBox 360 Games to the HDD Makes Them Look Better 300°
November 1, 2008 // 10:43 pm - I have found Microsoft's updated version of Xbox Live to be a mixed bag navigation-wise. And I haven't used a few key features like parties or Netflix yet.

But there's one feature I'm using that is undeniably awesome: Saving games to the hard drive. As soon as I got the NXE (new Xbox experience) beta test, I immediately saved "Fable 2" to the hard drive, mainly because the game is constantly accessing data from the disc and it is loud, even by Xbox 360 standards.

I was hoping I would no longer be distracted by the noise of a disc spinning with such fury it could fly out...

Metroid Prime Devs Eye XBox 360 and PS3 for Future Games 50°
September 16, 2008 // 4:25 pm - Three key devs behind Nintendo's Metroid Prime series have formed a new studio called Armature, under the publishing flag of Electronic Arts.

What does that mean for us gamers, exactly? It means the prime (hah) talents behind Metroid are now free to develop games for non-Nintendo platforms.

The devs heading Armature Studios - Mark Pacini, Todd Keller and Jack Matthews, (who were the former Game Director, Art Director, and Principal Tech Engineer of the Metroid franchise, respectively) - have expressed interest in the PS3 and 360. Says Pacini:

Will DVD Size Limitations Affect the Graphics of Xbox 360 Games? 50°
August 10, 2008 // 8:30 pm - From the beginning of time, Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers have been dueling about who's console is the more graphically powerful. In these skirmishes, terms like CPU, GPU, and RAM have been thrown around, but now those folks on the PS3 side of the fray have another weapon in their arsenal: disc format.

You may think that disc size has absolutely nothing to do with graphical quality of games. It all has to do with the raw power of the console's CPU, RAM, etc., you might say; the discs are just used to store the data that is pushed through the processors. Yes, but no. Let me explain.

Four Mysteriously Mysterious Games! 100°
June 6, 2008 // 6:03 pm - What happens to those games where they show a short video at E3 that gets everyone excited and then nothing is heard from them again?

Like Duke Nukem and Prey, they've probably had to start over on a different set of technology as the original technology which at the time was mind-blowing no longer cuts it in today's age of High Definition, High Dynamic Range Lighting and more ragdoll physics than you can shake a Gravity Gun at!

4. Alan Wake
This little title was first shown off way back in 2005 at E3. Originally planned for PC, Xbox360 and Playstation 3 until...
