Video: Magic Pixel Games Says Step Right Up to Carnival Island 100°
172w ago - Magic Pixel Games President Mark Tsai invites fans to step right up to Carnival Island today, with a complete video introduction below as follows:

Greetings out there in PlayStation land! I'm Mark Tsai, president and co-founder at Magic Pixel Games in Los Angeles.

Our name's new, but the team's not - we're industry veterans who have worked on many well-loved franchises such as Stephen Spielberg's Boom Blox and Guitar Hero, among many other titles in our combined resume.

But enough about us - I'm really excited to introduce you to our newest production: Carnival Island, which we produced in collaboration with SCEA Santa Monica Studio. We've taken the physical accuracy of the PlayStation Move motion controller, Magic Pixel's expertise in motion-controlled gaming, and the fun of the carnival... and rolled them into a truly family-friendly, instantly-accessible experience.

It's all the fun of the fair without having to find parking! Check out our launch walkthrough video to learn why PS Move's technology enables a precise, seamless experience.

Carnival Island features more than 35 games and attractions, so there's surely something fun for gamers...

Nintendo Says 3DS Design Not Final, Launch by March 2011

Nintendo Says 3DS Design Not Final, Launch by March 2011 100°
245w ago - Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime acknowledged that Nintendo was seeking feedback from attendees and may still tweak the design of the upcoming 3DS.

To quote: "You know typically, at an E3, our engineers are looking for feedback.

You know, we have an army of Nintendo representatives out on our show floor talking to attendees, getting reactions to everything in the device: the depth slider, the buttons, the sliding pad that is, essentially, an analog-type stick.

These are things that we're looking to get reaction to, including the overall button placement. When we get all that feedback, then we'll finalize the design.

The one thing, for sure, is that we will launch in all of our major markets by March 31, 2011," he stated.

No God of War III PS3 Multiplayer, Director Says it Wouldn't Fit

No God of War III PS3 Multiplayer, Director Says it Wouldn't Fit 550°
280w ago - God of War III will not have PS3 multiplayer, and according to the title's director Stig Asmussen the underlying reason why is that it simply wouldn't fit.

This was recently revealed in an interview with GamePro, to quote:

"With God of War 3, there's a story we want to tell and an experience we want to deliver, and multiplayer doesn't fit into that." said the games producer Stig Asmussen.

"Imagine two Kratos characters running around at the same time. Once you do that, the story becomes something more about an experience between two players and less about something that we're scripting."

"So, you have something like Left 4 Dead, which is sweet, but we just decided with this game, there's a certain way that we want to tell it. And staying with what we've done in the past, we want to complete the story in a way that was familiar to everybody."

He did, however, hint at new challenge rooms in the form of DLC: "It would make a lot of sense to be able to download them. That's something we might see in the future." adding "It's a good way to keep the series going."

Sony Says 'Thanks' for Being a PlayStation Network Customer

Sony Says 'Thanks' for Being a PlayStation Network Customer 550°
287w ago - Today a PlayStation Network promotion wrapped in a 'Thank You' note was sent from Sony to sent to select PSN customers.

While some appear to welcome it for being a loyal customer over the last three years (and spending hundreds of dollars on PSN), others share the "Sony, you should've have. No, really. You shouldn't have." attitude.

To quote: "Are you a regular user of the PSN? Chances are you probably are. Well then, you might want to check your emails.

We just got a message from Sony saying "Hey, thanks for being a loyal customer". We say, that's absolutely not a problem Sony. Don't worry if you didn't get one of these. They're more an advert then anything else."

Did anyone get one here? If so, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!
