103w ago - Following up on his initial announcement, today PlayStation Vita developer Total_Noob has shared a demo video of his upcoming 6.60 TN-V CEF (Custom Emulator Firmware) for Sony's PS Vita handheld gaming console.

Below are the details, to quote: "Total_Noob has released a more in-depth trailer video of his upcoming CEF (Custom Emulator Firmware) for the PS Vita.

The brand new video that you can watch below showcases TN-V better than the last one, showing off more features such as changing themes and playing music with the full XMB experience running smoothly on the PS Vita.

As we previously announced, TN-V will be compatible with all of the 2.02 and below exploit releases thus far for the Vita; TN-V is not a new exploit itself.

TN-V is still set to release this month, but nothing specific just yet so check back!"

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward Hitting PS Vita, PSN Demo Today

125w ago - Director of Production Frank "Bo" DeWindt at Aksys Games has announced that Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward is hitting PS Vita alongside a PSN demo arriving today.

To quote: This is Frank "Bo" deWindt II of Aksys Games, but you can all call me Bo. We have a demo coming today for our upcoming PS Vita title, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward!

For those who aren't already familiar with the Zero Escape series, Virtue's Last Reward is a sequel to the critically acclaimed Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, which came out in November 2010 and received glowing accolades from IGN, as well as amazing reviews from Destructoid and Nintendo Power, among others.

Virtue's Last Reward is a visual novel-style game with puzzle elements that traps college student Sigma, a mysterious young woman named Phi, and seven other strangers in a game of life and death.

They are forced to take part in a game known as the Nonary Game: Ambidex Edition, which will place their lives on the line as they try to escape and discover the truth about why they're there in the first place.

As a visual novel, Virtue's Last Reward delves heavily into story, characterization, and reading in general. However, this is balanced by the...

Madden NFL 13 Hits PS Vita August 28, Snap Up the Demo Tomorrow

133w ago - Madden NFL Arcade Designer Danny Doeberling has confirmed today that Madden NFL 13 hits PS Vita on August 28th, and that fans can snap up the demo tomorrow!

To quote: My name is Danny Doeberling, and I'm a Designer on Madden NFL 13 for PS Vita. The game is launching on August 28th, but I wanted to let you know how you can get your hands on the action early with the demo, starting August 14th.

When designing Madden for PS Vita, the Dev Team set the goal of making the most complete Madden handheld experience to date, and without a doubt I feel we delivered it.

Madden NFL 13 is visually stunning on PS Vita - seeing all the superstars decked out in their brand new NFL uniforms in HD on that gorgeous OLED screen really gets you excited for football season to start.

The game is built from the Gen 3 engine, so if you are familiar with PlayStation 3, you will feel right at home here.

Our favorite part of development on this title was incorporating PS Vita's unique features. I'll just say this: you don't know how much you need the touch screen until you get it in your hands - you can use your finger to freely draw receivers' routes!

We titled this feature Call Your Shots. It's quick, it's fun, and it will make you forget about the old way of individually...

Video: Foosball 2012: Single-player and Multiplayer Options Demo

50°
143w ago - Today Grip Games CEO Jakub Mikyska has shared the third installment in the Foosball 2012 developer series, this time spotlighting single-player and multiplayer options in a video demo for PS3 and PS Vita fans below.

To quote: Over the past couple of weeks we've taken you through the controls and cross-platform features, so this time we're going to dive into the multiplayer and single-player modes.

Real-world table football is the most fun when you play it with friends, and that's something we definitely took into account when developing Foosball 2012.

Up to four players can play locally at the same time, whether that's two for each team or other combinations like 1 vs. 1 or 2 vs. AI or 2 vs. 1 and so forth. It's also possible for some of the players to play with PlayStation Move and others with DualShock 3.

Online multiplayer is also present, of course. You can play alone, or join up with a friend locally and take on the world together. Every victory nets you experience points and boosts your global ranking, so be sure to check the leaderboards to see whether your friends are above or below you.

If you do prefer single player, the game's World Tour mode lets you face off against 29 A.I....
